FSW PR applied

Hi,

I have applied for my Canadian PR in Feb 2008. I am a Chemical Engineer by profession with 8 years of experience in the United States. My H1 has expired now. I received my AOR (file number) on Nov 6th from the office at Buffalo. As of right now, I can see my profession comes under category Skilled A and ocmes under the 38 occupation list.

How long would me processing take approximately. I haven't heard form them from Nov 6th at all. I can see ppl who have applied after me have the decision made updated in the website of cic.gc.ca. On giving my file number it says application not yet processed. Kindly advise.

Thanks for the detailed reply. My H1 has already expired. We need to have a valid H1 with 6 months of the visa validity there for Alberta process. What is AINP? I filed on Feb 26th 2008.

Well it was sent after feb 27th im sure about that. Is there any other way I can acquire a job in Canada other than wait for my PR?

It is post Feb 27th the rules get affected. I do come under the post Feb 27th. My occupation is in the 38 occupation list. I'm so confused right now as to whats going on. I dont see anything in the cic site of my application being processed etc.

Could u please send me some links to apply ? Can I do this when my PR is getting processed simultaneously?
