Have some faith mate, optimism hurts a little less than pessimism. If you don't get your PPR today, you are most likely going to get it before 2nd week in January. The good news so far is the fact that CIC has done well in keeping to their 6months commitment.

Same here... what i think is that if we dont get our ppr today untill midnight, we are in for a longer wait. I think they are issuing ppr letters to everyone with ready for visa applications now to fill in their cap and statistic for this year. So if we pass today without ppr they dont have much reason to hurry our process ...

Hmm, not sure about that. For CIC, the process isn't over with the PPR email. I would assume they only count you towards the quota after they receive and stamp your passport, as there could still be something wrong with that.

My theory is that inland PPRs are "easier" to issue this time of year because they don't require further processing to change to local VO. Just imagine that for each outland who gets a PPR, CIC still need to:
1) read an e-mail requesting VO change;
2) contact/inform LVO about that change;
3) reply to the applicant with new PPR.

Thus, many LVOs around the world may be closed due to the holidays and CIC has a limited timeframe to handle all of this... We will have to wait and see how things unravel for us.

Now, the other questions is: what does it mean that the application is complete, particularity in terms of medicals? I did my medicals upfront. Submitted all the necessary paperwork. So that should be complete, right? However, I had to undergo additional tests, so medicals were not passed until that was done. Does that mean the application was incomplete until that point?

I know, no one here really has an answer, and we can only speculate. I am just thinking out loud. I guess getting things off my mind and chest

Do we have to request for VO change. Won't it work if we just send it to Ottawa or whatever is mentioned in the PP request letter?

For what it's worth, i passed my R10 on Sept 11th 2015... 102 days later, got PPR (Dec 22nd)... anyone else with GCMS notes who got PPR?

I agree. I think the quota is applicable to actual visas/COPR issued. It is possible the quota for 2015 was reached and hence they held on issuing PPRs. I feel the only reason they issued in the last week of December as they know that the actual COPR/visas will only be issued for these PPRs in 2016 due to timing and hence will go against 2016 quota.

Just another theory amongst many to pass the time. I still hope that we outland hear soon but it seems that some Aug/July AOR inland are still left so it is possible they may get another batch or two before it is our turn. As some have mentioned previously, I do hope we hear latest by Jan 2nd week.

just an off topic here, anyone after mid Aug (> Aug 16) AOR got their background check in progress ? Looks like they stopped processing applications which are after mid Aug AOR

My bg check went into inprogress in first half of December 2015 (dont know the exact date). My AOR is 25th August and paid rprf on 25th September.

I didnt get ppr letter, but i did get my gcms notes jes

Yesterday evening, 3 weeks after my request and now I will definitely be going with ontario pnp after all.. there is a huge note in my file (across a whole page), will post it here when I get the time.
Informative, but for me indicative of their plan to reject me.. well que sera, sera... I will be getting to canada at some point it just looks like it will not be happening this time
