This is all you need. Ensure that one of the photo (50mm x 70mm) has the seal from the photo studio and your name, DOB and date of photo.

I got NDVO too, you can submit your file at VFS in any office in any country. They accept. I submitted at VFS dubai. They have recently started workload distribution from around the world and therefore, accepting from any VFS.

Nope, Thats all. Write your name, DOB and Date of the Photo at the back of each photograph.
The photo should be stamped by the photographer (use the typical commercial ones - GK Vale etc)

The typical charge for everything is 1k per applicant with courier and tracking.

You are lucky! But CIC clearly states job titles should be in line with job responsibilities. In the end, it comes down to a human looking at files and we all are different - some are strict some aren't. That's precisely the reason why your docs should be a 100%

What does courier mean here? I am planning to visit personally and collect also in person.

You can do that too, and will incur lesser charges. But would need to visit Vfs again. Better to get it couriered! They are incredibly quick. My Passport got sent on 7th evening and I received it on 8th morning.
