Can anyone tell me if the copy of National ID is mandatory to submit?

I hope some seniors respond to you, however, I think that if you have a National ID, then you need to submit it. However many countries do not have this, in that case you need not submit it. I am from India that does not have a National ID, so I did not submit it. My application seems to be OK because I got the PER and then the MR.

Thanks for your reply. We have a National ID in my country, but I live in Canada and would not be able to ship it from there so wonder if I have to submit it at all...

Can you ask someone to scan it for you? You can then print it out and attach it with your application. I do not physically have a large number of my certificates e.g. my birth certificate, some degree certificates etc. I had it scanned in my home and emailed to me. I then printed it out and submitted it.

What about attestation of these documents?

I think, all the copies should be submitted as True copies (Attested Copies)

No, its not written anywhere to submit attested copies except translated one.

If it is in english then is there no even need to get it stamped from MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS??

No apostle is for your benefit. CIC has nothing to do so. Document authentification is required to be done to prove that you have authentic docs and to safeguard you once you land there.
