FSW applicaion in process however, wants to study in canada first

Hi all, I have an ongoing application for FSW. My VO is in philippines. I am currently working here in malaysia as a nurse. I would like to study first in canada. I am thinking that I can easily apply for a nursing job if I will study in first and immediately can go to canada. because my working visa here in malaysia will be finishing on september.

Is it possible that i can study in canada? while my fsw application still in process?

I have same thinking. I mean my FSW application is under process. I havent yet got my MR even. I want to study at canada.I have send a mail to my consultant so lets wait what he suggest me. I mean I am sick of waiting so long

you both can apply and get study permit while ur PR is in process..

i have not one but 2 PR apps in process. and i applied for study permit and got it.. will be leaving for canada this fall..

all u have to show is ur ties to ur country . ur study permit will be handled independently inspite of PR APP..

wow thats very superb news,
tell me what exectly u mean by tie at our country. I mean I am primary applicant and my hubby is secondary one. Is that enoughf ifI convince them socially, I will be back to India after finishing my course.

Also what about the fundings. Can i show the same bank fundings which i shown in my FSW application?
And what other documents we need. I mean I read is;
University conformation latter, statment of purpose, bank statments(thats again just the first year fees+ living expanses only), what about medical and police clearance?

Is it possible to just send a latter which can explain the duel application status so that we dont need to send all documents over and again ? or u recomand to send the seperate one?

working on it now. I sent two applications just now and lets hope to get them going. I am just worring for funding stuff. I guess they dont offer much as on international status. And international status fees are much higher.

We did the same thing, we are in Canada now, we applied for PRa nd while it is in process we came here as International student(my husband) then me and our children are all here as his dependents, i got an open work permit as his dependent and i am working as he is studying, our children are both in school too. Right now, our PR is still "in process" my husband completed his course last Dec 2010 ans is now on post grad visa (open work permit) and we are now both working.
We did our application on our own, if you have particular questions, please feel free to ask, i will try to answer based on our experience. By the way, we are originally from the Philippines but we worked in Dubai, so we applied for our student visa in Dubai.
First step is to secure, acceptance from the university or school where you want to study, fees ranges from $12,000 to $16,000 depending on the length and duration. In order to qualify for the same program that we had, you must apply for a post graduate course ( 8 months to 1 yr). University will require for an IELTS Academic, so be sure you have this before applying.
As international student on post grad course, you can bring your spouse and children and apply all at the same time but this is more expensive, need to prove you have enough funds for your study and your family. Needs to prove that you will return to your country after the course.

Thank u very much indeed. I will surely need your help throughout the process. Please stay in touch here. Actually, In my case, Its me who is going to be primary applicant. I am not sure about which month I will fly as I have 50-50 % for both terms. I mean either sep'2011 or Jan'2012. Lets hope the best. I am likely to get 4 years research course, So in that case, how many years I can get after my study as open work permit? Also can your hubby work more than 20 hrs per week as being a student?

Which way do u advice best. To send both me and my hubby's application at same time or I can also call him once I get settle at there. I mean I dont want to take such risk as he got nice job here till the time I get settle there. May be in 6 months time.

hey guys, i wanna go for this too. My PR application is under process . I am late 2009 applicant but I am not married. How come that I justify my ties back here with my country and my duel intend. I want to get a student visa in the mean time when PR is under process.

I want to get admisson in some english language degree. I am currently working as Language Instructor 4131 (English) on the basis of my degree M.A English + BED . So getting admission in some ralevant degree would be better or can i select another course ?

Dont worry abt home tie. It can be sorted as long as u can produce a very strong SOP which can highlight that u got decent job and u will be back after u complete ur degree. also justify that u got ur parents to lookafter.

Just try to start searching on right course and get admission first then u can think for next., thats all I am doing. I guess our hope to get PR with 4131 is much like stupid ways to wait endless.

Well, What only thing I can suggest is that: I personally have started the same thing so what else I can give u example. If u dont want ur life to be rulled by such stupid CIC people. Simply apply. there are 1000s of courses which can match to ur requirement I am sure. Its like we have been late. We should do it last year instead of waiting endless for nothing. I am preety much upset about whole the process thay are taking as

one thing upsets me, that i stupidly sent my original documents (transcripts and degrees) to chc in my PR file. I now have in hand only photo copies (originally attested ) but still they are not originals. what do you think?
should i go for the duplicates? if yes, is it okay to get the most recent degree to get duplicate...i mean my master's degree and for IELTS ofcourse, i'll go for acadamic one so that doesn't bother me any more!
