Hey ..I'm not certain on how long it takes but you just need to apply for it from your local passport seva kendra. On the passport office website they have an option of apply for PCC. Hope that helps

Thanks for your response. Actually I got my hometown address (Punjab) on my passport and currently I am working in Pune. My question was what all documents do I need to carry for PSK, whether they issue PCC straight away or is it a lengthy process?

From how many months you are working in Pune?
Pune PSK might initiate clearance from Punjab police station (as per Punjab address) and your from Pune police station (as per Pune address) .

However if you are living in Pune from long time then only from Pune address.
so it all depend on case officer at Pune Psk also !!

Go for walkin Pcc

once u get ur per the file will be transferred to local visa office. They will put your file in queue and when your file comes up for review you will get 2nd line in ecas.... . If u are lucky enough then you will get medical request within 15 days of the processing start date or else u may have to wait for around 3 to 4 months or maybe even more for the medical request mail

Hi Manush,

You will need PCC from UK and India.

From India you can visit your nearest PSK and apply for PCC.
If you are staying for more than 1 year (depends on case officer) then they will do one Police Station verification.

If you are living in two status in last 1 year then PSK officer will initiate Police Station verification of your BOTH addresses of respective status => This will result in slight delay.

However Indian PCC can be speed-up with the help of some MONEY , you can search PCC agents in quickr and I have seen getting PCC with in 7 days.
