hopefully, your MR will come soon too..

can others, who got AOR from their LO, tell me, what was the time difference from AOR to MR? I assume, if these guys got AOR, MR should come really fast... and then we from vienna, or anyone else who doesn't receive AOR, can expect MR in a similar time difference..

Any idea how do cic do background checks for like proof of funds , job?

i heard from other members that they do call your previous/current employers, asking about duties you've performed...

regarding pof, i've never heard that they physically ever asked anyone to show a certain amount, they just ask you, when you are entering CA, how much you carry in cash or otherwise. while your documents are at your LO, i know they asked to send an updated bank statement with a 6 month history... nothing else
however, i was wondering the same thing, do wee need to have amount of CASH with us while entering, amount required for, in my case 4 member family, or i can, lets say, bring $5.000 in cash, and rest of it on a TC or check or any other way?

you can carry up to $10,000 in cash and the rest can be in other instrument

PER RECEIVED

App received: 5th Nov. 2014 (NOC:3132)
DD encashed: 13th Jan 2015 (according to bank official)
DD encashed: 8th Jan 2015 (as per Email from CIO)
PER received: 25th feb 2015

The reason for the delay in getting PER was because We failed to give WES access to CIC. We received email from WES on 31st Jan and we noticed it on 9th feb. WES sent an additional report to CIC on 18th Feb and it took exactly one week from there.
