Congratulations to every one who got MR and PPR and wishing good luck to every one who are waiting for it. me tooo in the line. At present, Only God knows wether Canada is in my destiny or not and time will tell us. so keep on running.

Today i was checking my docs, got to know that I did spelling mistake in the name of the company in the personal history form of schedule A form submitted to CIO.
e.g. in the original document the last name of the company is written as solution but in forms i put it as solutions. (i addedd s after solution which is the name of other company)
also in original documents it is written as Telesystems but on the forms i wrote as tele systems. I put the space between tele and systems.

Thus this small mistakes are going to become big mistakes

and also i did some mistake in writing designation as in the original documents it is written as ASSOCIATE, but in the forms i wrote the designation as Technical Support Executive.

so not sure what is going to happen. Please suggest your comments. what should i do.

Issue like this is kind of open to the decision of the officer reviewing the file.
At CIC you were lucky

Since you have received a PER its less risky you have an opportunity to correct this. At per Stage it would have been a rejection of they would have considered it a serious issue.

Its a bit tricky now since files are being routed all over the world but generally your VO may be Colombo or Warsaw.

once you have an AOR send them a case specific email for correction and an updated form hard copy to follow.

This is what i would do to avoid any confusion for the VO and avoid any additional BC checks complications or an interview.

You should carry proof that you have the earlier declared POF for settlement.
It could be in form of Cash/Traveller's cheque/Statement of Bank Account (All in CAD)

Don't think these are serious issues.

You should send an updated Schedule A - Background / Declaration form to Visa Office and explain them the mistakes you've made while filling out your employment history. The new details MUST of course match those on the employment letters which they can verify with your company if they have any doubt!

Got MR mail couple of minutes back.

Please advise:

1. Should i wait for 2 weeks to do the medicals as I smoke sometime and just do not want this thing to hamper anything in medical.
2. should i inform the medical officer if he asks for smoking habits.

You should always answer honestly.

If you stop smoking for 2 weeks your numbers might look a little better but unless you have known health problems and depending on how much is "sometime" it may not make much difference.

Hi All,

Somethingh strange happen to my application which reached on 21st October and DD En-cash was 30th Dec
and on 7th March i got mail that my points are lacking i.e i have obtained 66 points.And therefore they are refusing my application.
But my Consultant completed my 67 points.I have 6 years of experience (3 years of part time and 3 years of regular).So instead of 15 point they gave me 13 point.
I am really disappointed. Don't know what next to do.
Can i send a query mail to CIO‑Sydney‑Search‑Enquiry @ cic.gc.ca? Will they take my query to consideration.
Please guide me or share your views that what next needs to be done.

You get 15 points for 6+ years of full-time equivalent experience. If you worked full time for 3 years and part-time for 3 years, CIO calculated how much full-time equivalent you accrued in that 3 years. Apparently it added up to less than 6 years, in which case you get the points for 4-5 years, which is 13.

You can always contact them to discuss it, but it seems unlikely to help. Sorry this has happened to you, I suggest you apply for EE.

It's normal dear don't worry.
In my case I received Mr on 13 the and was 2 and line updated on 14th.
