Spend your time in meeting all near and dear ones. If you have parents and no other sibling to take care of them, ensure you have everything setup for them before leaving. Also, make sure any documents that need to be corrected for you or your wife are done. Some people leave such things pending and face hassles when abroad.

Guess I too need to wait for a month after the 3rd line, I share your NOC too.

Hiee kindly help me out seniors...


We have submitted our passport on March 2 for visa stamping. However tracker says it's still in processing.. now am worried because read few posts saying that once visa is issued the file will be closed and new born cannot be added and the file has to start from scratch. We are expecting our new born in 2 months. We have submitted pregnancy report along with passport as well.. Please advice what should we do now?

All the credentials provided are checked. Right from IELTS/WES to Education and Work exp.
99.9% the process is started and completed after the 2nd line and before MR is sent.
Exceptions make up the .01%.

Second that. You never know what type of exigency might be there, at personal level or even global. Why take the risk?

Don't take that risk Jaxon. In case you miss out on 20th Feb 2016 for whatever reason (personal, professional or any other), you may lose out on Canadian PR forever.

Go once, well in advance to Canada, maybe on a holiday and come back to UK. then you may decide when you want to finally shift.

I wanted to know would the verification be completed by them or yet remaining.
My ECAS WAS UPDATED IN OCT 2014 SO IS IT POSSIBLE THAT VERIFICATION WOULD BE COMPLETED AND NEXT STEP IS MEDICAL CALL...

Hi Guys , just want to check. how do I come to know regarding stamping of my visa.

Make note I have not taken any SMS service or doorstep delivery service from VFS. I keep on checking my VFS status it says

"Visa application, tracking ID No.XXXXXXXXXXX is being processed at the Canada Visa Office, NEW DELHI. To know more, please call VAC helpline number or visit VAC website."

Probably delayed due to your wife's pregnancy. Hopefully won't be anything serious. You can check application status through GCMS notes.

SIN no: You will get it right away at the airport within few minutes or you can visit Service Canada to get it.

Health card: You have to visit Service Ontario (if you land in Ontario ) to apply for health card. They will give you Health card no. on a paper document and health card will arrive in mail in 3-4 weeks.

I am really very happy to announce the arrival of PER mail at 19:30 IST today. My application date 22nd Dec, NOC 2131.

However my ECAS status is not live yet...tried to check using UCI no. and Application no provided on PER Mail.

Please suggest...I thought ECAS comes live after charging and before PER....

Just came to know that my application was returned due to the cap being filled up for NOC 2171. They have sent the application on 2nd Feb 2015 and I haven't received it yet. I received the email response from CIC search enquiry to my query that I had sent.

Seems Express Entry is now my last ray of hope. Thank you everyone who guided me filling up the application. Truly appreciated the help I received on this forum. All the best for all others!
