I have a question.
If one lands in Canada, driving from Detroit to Windsor and completes the Landing Formalities.
PR may be received in Canada after 2-3 months, and then returns to US (L1 or H1 visa) and is not a US citizen,
Can he return to Canada before he gets his PR card ?

Hi SinghJ,

What's necessary is that you give suffecient docs to substanciate that you have funds at your disposal when needed.
I am a bit skeptical if an Indian Saving account statement will serve that purpose.
Better ways would be to carry cash/Travellers Cheque/Canadian Bank account statement or a combination of them.

I applied for FBI report on 22 Oct. recieved it last week.
My medical was done in 1st week of december. Still waiting for indian PCC which was applied on 22 oct. I sent documents in december, australian PCC etc. asked for extention , never heard back.
you never back from them. check your online status. it should say medical recieve.
I sent FBI report this week. and asked for another extension for indian PCC.

Do not worry. I have experience from my parents case with CIC that you do not hear back on your requests. but they got accepted.

If I were in the same problem, I would raise a CSE and send the updated docs asap...that way I escape the possibility of being charged for mis-representation...and being barred for 2 yrs...of course that might delay the application...but it is 100% sure that CIC guys will find the rejection..and will put a question...that way you will have one more rejection..Canada, that you will have to disclose elsewhere.....it is better to not make a chain of such things.

I've never heard of that before. Didn't you get a letter or some communication informing you of the rejection?

Anyway, USA and Canada share almost all information especially regarding security and diplomacy. CIC will very likely learn of your rejection and will ask you why you did not answer yes on your form.

You can either wait for them to ask you, and then explain, or you can be proactive, raise a CSE and attach a new form and explain why you didn't answer correctly the first time.

If it is a case of genuine confusion and you thought no stamp in your passport meant it should not be reported, just say so. The VO usually overlooks honest mistakes, but nobody can guarantee you that it won't be a problem.

Hi Good Day to all we are on the process of sendig additional documents to VO.

i have a question, Im the Principal applicant and my wife is currently based in Vancouver BC. when Passport request comes i know i will send my Passport to Canadian Embassy Manila, Philippines, but im wondering where she will send her passport in the Philippines or in a Visa office in Canada. thanks!

Finally I received our passports with COPR and this ends our PR application journey. ** Drumrolls **

Thanks to all of you for being such a support. I say this truly, because it is all due to this thread it has been possible. It all started here only. I was very active earlier but from past few months replying here and there and actively in the Ottawa thread. My timelines on left, but here are few specifics to those interested -

In 2013, I wanted to apply but missed collecting all docs. So that year I completed my IELTS, collected experience letter from previous employers.
In Feb 2014, I went to India got my marksheets attested from University for WES assessment.
Till Apr 2014 second week, I didn't sent my marksheets for WES assessment - lazy bum I'm. Thought will get it done when time comes.
Apr 15 2014, I woke up with news that FSW will be underway by May 1, submitted WES assessment that day only.
Meanwhile, completed my application - got birth cert etc from embassy. Got spouse birth cert translated...what not to complete the app.
Experience letter from current employer - I wrote a crisp cover letter explaining why I've only got a generic letter from HR as it might jeopardize my existing employment scene, and for my duties, salary, I attached my payslips, work contract, H1B sponsorship package, my certifications etc.
May 22 2014 - My app was received by Ottawa and rest was processing till today (timelines on left). Getting FBI PCC took 3.5 months - those waiting apply ASAP.

PPR - Feb 13th 2015
Passport received by CPC-O - Feb 19th
Visa Issued - Feb 26th
Tracker Activated - Mar 6th
Passport received back - Mar 9th

So happy to complete this process for us. Hope you all complete your journey soon and get the most awaited email of PPR. We'll be landing sometime in September. Thanks again. :) :) :-* :-*

Will be updating SS in a while.

Do anyone have idea what is tendered to agent for final delivery? in FedEx? I have sent my PCC documents to CIC new delhi and it shows this msg. Is it mean that third party like postal department is going to do delivery to CIC? courier company is not allowed in CIC or what?
how can I come to know that my documents reached to CIC?
