What I think is that PPR is not based on Medicals or Date of application. Its on the basis of RFRF, Medical and PCC submitted date

I did my medicals on 27-Sep but submitted all my docs on 21-Nov (as PCC got delayed) and still waiting for PPR

Something tells me that the PPR/DM upated are not basis the date or application received but rather the date of meds requested or completed.

I received an email today from CIC requesting for my PO Box number. The email also has a UCI number however no CC charged.

What does that mean, is my application being processed or returned?

prepare fresh dd of 53400 and write a covering letter that ignore first dd as i have i am sending fresh one. , don't send balance dd .

or pay online and send paid receipt with your details , they will not encash dd as you have already paid online ..

Well I can't say anything at this moment what CIC is going to do. I am also eagerly waiting for my email reply sent on 1 Jan but haven't heard anything yet. Thts the reason I wanted to call CIC to get status update. Finally let's hope for the best. All the best to you also.

Do you mean you do your landing and then leave after 10 days?

If you enter Canada by a public conveyance (airplane, ferry, commercial bus, train) you MUST use your PR card to re-enter Canada. You won't have one after just 10 days. If you have someone send it to you in India so you'll have it when you come back, that's fine, but don't try to re-enter without it!

If you enter Canada in a private vehicle you can enter with just your passport and your Confirmation of Permanent Residence papers. So for example you could fly to Seattle, rent a car and drive to Vancouver, or fly to Detroit, rent a car and drive to Toronto, etc. Of course, that assumes you have a visa to enter the USA.

Can I apply for PR card as soon as I land in Canada and provide them my Canada mailing address, will they send it through post. How long does it take to get PR Card.

To all my fellow forumites awaiting PER, MR, DM, PPR...
Dont lose hope or feel down...I know a lot of them have been waiting for quite a while now...but believe that it has happened...you have been granted a visa and God will make it happen for you.
I am not saying this coz I am happy or coz I got my DM...I am saying this coz till yesterday whenever I heard abt a DM/PPR I would check my status and would b a bit down that it didnt change today...then yesterday evening at Ash Wednesday mass and during family prayers all I asked God is for more faith in Him and patience..and that I know that God will give it to me when t is the right time as per him...after man proposes God disposes...I also prayed for all the ppl waiting for more than 4.5 months for their DM/PPR or PER or MR....I honestly did.

Today I didnt even check until my hubby called me to inform abt this change.

God is good all the time and trust in Him.

So all waiting for one thing or the other whether for this immigration or something else in life...know that God is with you and you only need to believe in Him.
Also know that I am including all of you here in this forum in my daily prayers.

Congrats to all who recd PPR/DM or any other updates.
Thanks again for all your wishes and hope that this forum continues to help everyone.
