Hello,

In india if someone has experienced it, can you please tell me how much time does it take to add a new born in application. Including getting the passport for the child and notifying NDVO.

Get birth certificate and passport for your baby and raise a case-specific enquiry with your VO. They will tell you what you need to do.

To the original Owner of this post - i am not able to see the original Post

if you think you have a valid legal point then seek legal help immediately. i remember a similar case slightly different reported here some months ago where the CIC agent denied per by calculating points incorrectly . He had then contacted a lawyer who helped him with a legal letter which was the faxed to CIC. he was then awarded PER

Lawyers are expensive and they can charge you 250$ per hour or more but give it a try .

You are correct, but in that case, the proper documentation was provided according to the document checklist and the officer simply miscalculated the number of points. In this case, unfortunately, the documentation provided was not within the guidelines. There is no harm in trying to contact them or even get legal counsel to help, but the chances are slim.

the last date for MR & RPRF mentioned in my mail was 16-02-2015.i did medicals in january. so if i get any update by next week like any additional doc request or DM or so i can substantiate my theory.
But again i had a case specific enquirey as i renewed my passport and informed abt it along with MR...lets see what happens.

Exactly the same for me, but my medicals were done mid-November, CSE with renewed passports was sent mid-January, and still nothing. :(

Congratulations to all PPR/Visa recipients

Here is the list of Documents you need at the time of landing
Without these documents (with translation, if not in English/French), you will not be allowed into Canada.
• Visa (if applicable) and CoPR
• Two (2) copies of a detailed list of all the personal or household items you are bringing with you showing the value, make, model and serial number, if the item has one. Divide the list into two sections: the goods you are bringing with you and the goods to follow.
• Two (2) copies of a list of items that are arriving later and their money value
Do not pack these documents in your luggage. Keep them with you at all times.
Present this list to the border services officer on your first point of arrival in Canada, even if you are not bringing in any goods at that time.
The above mentioned lists are called B4 form, to download a copy of the Form B4, http://www.cbsa.gc.ca/publications/forms-formulaires/ b4-eng[DOT]pdf

As b4 form has only 8 item list, remaining items can be mentioned in form b4a, while showing sum of all items in b4a form as 8th line in B4 form

http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/publications/forms-formulaires/b4a[DOT]pdf

Disclosure of funds
If you are carrying more than CDN $10,000 (Cash and/or bonds, DD, Travler's Check, etc), you need to disclose them using this form http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/publications/forms-formulaires/e677.pdfb

As this disclosure is a proof of ur funds in Canada, fill it even if less than said amount. This disclosure is other than proof of funds, which can be provided as bank statement (not recommended) as acceptance if entirely dependent on the officer (especially not accepted from banks of third world). Therefore, preferably u shud be carrying Cash/DD/TC etc of value equal to PoF requirement for all the family members, even if initially P.A is landing. No PoF required, if family follows P.A at some later date.

Health documentation (must for kids only)
In Canada, immunization or vaccination records are required for children to enroll in school. However, if possible, take ur own immunization record.

Other documents you may need:
• Birth,Adoption & Marriage certificates or baptismal certificates
• School records, diplomas or degrees for each family member traveling with you
• Trade or professional certificates and licences
• Letters of reference from former employers
• A list of your educational and professional qualifications and job experience (for your résumé)
• Driver's licence, including an International Driver's Permit and a reference from your auto insurance company
• Photocopies of all essential and important documents, in case the originals get lost (be sure to keep the photocopies in a separate place from the originals)
• Car registration documents (if you are importing a motor vehicle into Canada)

Customs declaration card
Fill the following Customer Declaration card, the actual card to fill the info will be provided on plane but u can look at following sample to have idea of wht info is required.
http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/publications/forms-formulaires/e311-eng.pdf
P.S: Preferably avoid dutiable items mentioned in first three points such as spices & wood items.

OTHER Options are:

SHORT STAY ACCOMMODATION:
For sure you must arrange a 'short-stay' accommodation prior to your landing. The necessity of which cannot be overemphasized more. If you have friends/relatives, they can be approached for the same, if you do not have anyone, the following is recommended:

Toronto:
1) http://www.safehomestay.com/
2) http://www.staystudio6.com/
*Both provide a/port pick-up services. The places are used by many satisfactorily.

Vancouver:
a) http://www.budgetpathotel.bc.ca/
b) http://www.ywcahotel.com/

Some other important sites on Vancouver are:
1) http://www.welcomebc.ca
2) http://www.rentbc.com

NOTE: Except for ppl with enough $$$ to spend, avoid Hotels & Motels. They are far costlier. Also, if you must take a hotel, avoid the ones close to the A/port -for obvious reasons.

HOUSE RENTAL:
The best way to do house hunting [long-term accom.] is to land at Canada & then start searching. Word of mouth & Bulletin Boards are a great ‘real-time' source. However, we cannot condone the importance of the web. Some of the good sites [there are many] could be:
a) http://www.hometrader.ca (Good site)
b) http://www.capreit.com (Property Management Services)
c) http://www.kjiji.ca/ (Good Classifieds site)
d) http://www.mls.ca (Mother of all)

Don't want to disappoint you, but sometimes it happens if application is rejected and returned. But You should be optimistic and hope for good, and hope that there will be some other reaon and you will get ECAS live again.
Hoping it is a technical error & not a rejection...... :'(

Dear Seniors:
i have a question,
My App received at Nov 24< CC charged at 19th Jan, No PER yet, I got the UCI from CIC and it shows in Process.
What does this means ?
And what is done between CC charging and PER ?
they communicate the company or they just match the JD with the NOC ?

Hi friends,
I had sent me application on 17 july, received by CIC on 24 July, Credit card charge date 06 nov 2014.

I lost that credit card hence I sent a new payment form well before time but I guess they did link it with my primary application.
I gt my application back today due to credit card payment declined. Can i send my application again under the same fsw program applicable in 2014 or do I have to start with fresh application.

Please advise
regards,

Sorry to hear that.
Fresh application on the EE system

An applicant reported that SGVO rejected his application stating that he/she got insufficient points.

(he was below 30 yrs when he applied, but VO gave him only 10 points for age. But he should get 12)

To me it looks like an amateur at SGVO made a terrible mistake.

Far as I know, the applicant is entitled to challenge vo decision.

Seniors please help him by telling him what to do.

I suggest getting a lawyer to help overcome this. But a simpler and cheaper option prior to that would be to file a CSE with SGVO explaining the situation and requesting that the application be reinstated. Who knows it might work without having to hire a lawyer.

Dear Forum members,
I'm so happy to share with you the good news that I received my PPR a while ago. I hadn't imagined it could happen so soon after submission of additional docs (Updated Info Chart, PP biopages, and RPRF receipt) via email this Wednesday, which were requested by the London Visa Office on Tuesday.

Best wishes to all currently waiting at different stages of the PR process. I'll update the SS shortly...

Congrats...that was fast!! +1 to you.
