Friends,

This quiery is about the preparation to move to Canada.

I have got enough information regarding the moving vehicle and goods to Canada from my dear forum members.

I want to move to Canada in last week of February.

How can I find accomadation In canada.

are there any forums available to find roommates? Any expat forums for canada?

please suggest your ideas, so that I can make sure my accommadation before I land.

By the way, I am traveling to canada alone. So I am looking for a temparary accommodation to say for 3-4 months or until find a job and move to job location.

I called CIC and gave my information name and DOB , but she said she does not have any information with the given details.

She mailed me the website for sydney, Nova scotia to check for the documents.

Im nov 24 applicant under NOC 2281. sent it via fedex and received the confirmation from them as well.

anybody had the same issue huh?? anybody know whats the reason for it?? anybody know the contact no of sydney, Nova scotia :'(

Dear Seniors,

I have received one email yesterday mentioning that-

I am not satisfied that you meet all three parts of these requirements. You have provided insufficient evidence to satisfy me that you have performed the action described in the lead statement, and a substantial number of the main duties, of the occupation as set out in NOC 0111 Other Financial Managers.
If you have any additional information to add to your application you should forward this to our office within thirty (30) days of the date of this letter.

I have checked my JDs by myself and several others, that indicated I JDs goes with 0111. What can I do now? Does this mean that my journey ends here? Any ideas /suggestions?

It's a PER! :D

- I can confirm that our files are not assessed based on job title because my job title is not even in the list of example titles provided in the hrsdc website. They are basing it on the main duties and lead statement.
- my Job description only contains 6 bullet points but very detailed info in each description.

Seniors Please help. I do not know what should I need to do to know the status of my application.
NOC-2243
Application received date- 17 sep 2014. received by D-Macneil
ECAS status is not active
Mode of payment was DD (as per bank dd was not cashed till first week of February)
Sent an email to CIC- 22 dec 2014 , but No reply.

You may rent a fully furnished condo/house for a week and search for suitable accommodation during that period.

airbnb.ca is a good site for booking furnished condo / house before you land.

Hi amardeep, no you are not missing out anything. The ecas will not show you when it was activated. I only got to know it was active because i have a uci number from my canada tourist visa which i started to use in checking ecas after cic charged my credit card. Hope this clarifies
