I got my visa status changed online its says "We started processing your application on January 15, 2015". What does this mean ? and what happens next any advise would be great

Congratulations for second line. This exactly mean what is written there "We started processing your application on January 15, 2015"

They may or may not do background checks, verifications etc.

Next step is MR in about week to 10 days time.

Got My Visas and COPR from ADVO today...Took 7 months from date of application!

Below are the informative details of my case which might help you:
Application sent date: 6th June 2014 (from Dubai through DHL)
App. Received date: 11th June 2014
CC Charged: 1st Oct 2014
PER: 8th Oct 2014
Visa Office : LVO
LVO Processing date: 25th Nov 2014
Medicals Request: 1st Dec 2014
Medicals done: 6th Dec 2014
Medicals sent: 8th Dec 2014
RPRF Request: 1st De 2014
RPRF Sent: 21st Dec and received date at LVO: 23rd Dec 2014
PPR Request Date: 8th Jan 2015
Decision Made Date: 11th Jan 2015
Visa and COPR received Date: 20th Jan 2015
Attending CIIP Session in Dubai on 22nd Jan 2015...

just paid my RPRF online and received the receipt.
there is a blank space to fill in the Payer information (which is myself), can it be filled by hand or it needs to be typed up or it doesnt matter?

My company where I am doing job at present, is getting shut down due to some financial issues. I had received my PER on Dec 21, 2014. My current employer will be vacating the office premises as well. Do I need to inform NDVO about the same?

Please advise.

Yes,, since it is an equivalent of Indian RTI , only a Canadian citizen can ask for information.

Seniors will UCI number allocated all the applicants even if they get NER?

Yes all the applicants whose applications are found complete (i.e. Completeness check passed), are either issued PER or issued NER. And all those applications which have passed completeness check are issued UCI. Even in certain cases we have noted on the forum that some of the forum members whose applications returned due to missing documents were issued UCI. Therefore UCI means that bar code page of your application is scanned by the bar code scanner of CIO and entered into their database with primary key and this primary key is your UCI.

You can let them know about the situation by CSE in advance and get their further advice on this.

However, try to get an official letter from your management / HR / Supervisor stating that you were employed at the point of company shutdown and the reason for the shutdown and if possible get it address it to NDVO.

Then if NDVO ask about any proof of your story, you may provide them this letter.

I suggest get this letter done before the shut down.

"My application started processing from 19/11/2014 from new delhi but till date i have not received further movement into my file.Kindly let me know the status of my application as soon as possible."

After that I received Email from : DELHIIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca
"This confirms receipt of your email to the New Delhi visa office. We will reply only if your message meets the criteria on

Now,i just want to know is this normal..?
do they send an email like this on same day..?
