Dear all
Greetings! My final destination is Ottawa but my flight will go through like DHAKA- HK- TORONTO- OTTAWA ( Cathay pacific) . So my immigration, first landing, Baggage checks will be done at Toronto or Ottawa?
My ticket is confirmed upto Ottawa (Toronto to Ottawa flight is via Westjet). Immigration will be at Toronto

If my Immigration, Baggage checks are done by CBSA at TORONTO PEARSON then who will put my luggage in Ottawa bound flights? You have to clear the bags and then take the domestic check in

So far I have heard that the TOR- OTTAWA flight is in another terminal i.e: Domestic Airport. Is it WESTJET those who will collect my Luggage or its my duty to do the Luggage Check and then go to Domestic terminal with my own??? It is your duty

Please share your experience.

Thanks in Advance for your help;

your immigration process will be done at toronto not ottawa..as toronto is your first entry point in canada..then for westjet flight u have to claim your baggage from toronto(landing terminal) and then carry to ottawa flight terminal by yourself..hope this helps!! congrtas n all the best

Dear All

Mr. bbshah got a call from CIC for verification.

I just want to ask is CIC calling to each and every applicant for background checks.?

Friends, Good news from CHC face book page (14th Jan):

"Canada's Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, Chris Alexander, inaugurated the visa office at the Consulate General of Canada in Bengaluru. The new office will be a hub for visa and immigration applications from Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu and Telangana."

https://www.facebook.com/CanadainIndia

This means that for EE, India will get second VO for faster processing. There you have the answer for all the queries on how will the EE 6 months processing limit will be achieved.

Hello forum members. I got my PER email a week back (very excited!), but it does not mention the VO. In my application I had requested London VO, but shortly after my submission the Generic Application Form was changed and the current form no longer asks the applicant to pick a specific VO.

In the past (pre-December) did the PER email mention which VO your file has been sent to? Asking this question since I'm hearing that some files are being sent to various VOs to spread the work among the offices. I'm trying to understand if this affects only those who applied using the new Generic Application Form.

This does not make sense at all... (bro..not contradicting ur experience).

After a stage of MR, RPRF and PCC if NDVO starts background checks and if someone has changed a job or resigned while waiting PPR...would he get rejection?

Other thing, this can only happen if NDVO has become money oriented cuz till now it was very clear that after background check only, MR, RPRF and PCC is issued. Many applicants may have resigned or say, may have planned something else.

Other one...few days before..I forgot the name, on of the brother had interview at NDVO (he passed it) to clear some doubt related to his job discription / company and upon satisfactory answer, he was instructed to pay RPRF and to clear MR after that.

So how come, one applicant is being called for interview for BC check before MR, RPRF and few others are guessing to get BC after MR, RPRF...??

This is utter confusion just because NDVO is not starting PPRs. All are wild guesses.

So, just keep calm. and lets come out of negativity and hope for the best.

+1 for socc3rguy, your thinking seems logical.
