Just an interesting info on the number of the applications sent for FSW 2014 per the SS:

What a difference a Deadline makes! The number of application was steadily declining and, all of a sudden, everybody rushes to get their app there by December 31st!

Total applications on the SS: 5.427. That should amount from 20% to 25% of worldwide applications, which is very impressive! Congratulations everybody .

Not only the deadline makes the difference but also the start. At the beginning there were many applicants like me that had the documents returned from last year FSW so it was only matter to mail them to CIO. Great work idefix! You deserve it +1

We are truly in the same boat, Per 17th Sept, Med req. and RPRF 31st Oct, Nov 3rd meds done and RPRF paid, ECAS third line update 11th Nov and no update since and I see many through CPC ottawa have PPR already and one had PPR and her app was a month after mine. Maybe I have a slow visa officer

Thanks Diplomatru for brief and to the point explanation. I would like to know that when CIO charges CC or encashes DD, so at the time they have already calculated the required points or just they have checked that all documents are complete and after that they start caculating the points? Because some of the applicants they received NER after charging of their CC so it seems that they calculate points after charging. At the time of charging they just review that whether all documents are complete or not? whether my understanding in this regard is correct?

They don't calculate points during completeness check. It's done at the point of MIAR.

1.We received your application for permanent residence on July 21, 2014.


2.We started processing your application on January 5, 2015.


Now when can i expect my medical??????

Aoa, we had our medical 1 day ago. As my husband is diabetic, we told thm,. Bp was normal, urine glucose was not found. N they referred him for hba1c n creatinine serum tests wth additional charges
The whole process lasted for 2.5hours.
They told us they will contact us in 2 days if further tests r needed else we must assume that our medicals has been dispatched....
Every phone call startle us. Today is gonna be that 2nd day.........
Im so fed up of all this struggle. CIC Must clearly warn all diabetic not to apply for FSw....I fearof becoming diabetic myself due to stress
I recvd PCc n RPrf on 5th january., given 45 days to submitt....
I need suggestion , should i wait till my ECas 3rd line is updated,n then submit rprf, bcoz God Forbid, if my medicals r reason for rejection, then claiming rprf would be impossible.

Plz diabetic forumites, suggest me out.............

RPRF is refunduble, comply with the request, don't wait.

I'm not diabetic, but I feel for you and praying everything will be well!
