Finally got a PER mail today as forwarded by my consultant. Official PER date is Dec. 29, 2014. ;D ;D ;D ;D

I got several answers from the agents.. One of them said they dont give any information to people calling from outside canada, other one said that they dont look after the economic class applications, one of them directly ask me to email the query and he said that was the only i could get to know about my status etc etc..


The best way to ask is be like really polite greet them good morning and just talk point to point i directly said that i was after my UCI number if you could please help me get one.. i wanted to know the status of my application .. thats all i spoke and the lady who directly asked me my name, DOB, place of birth thats it.. she didnt even ask my my date of application..

You can use either UCI in XXXX-XXXX format or File number to access eCAS

May I know what is GCMS Notes?

GCMS stands for 'Global Case Management System' and is adopted by CIC as a new computer system to maintain case history.

Refer to http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5563E.pdf for knowing about how to get GCMS notes and for more info.

Exactly what i had gone through as well. I had called them for 19 times before i got my UCI.

That means cost recovery has not been done yet. Please keep in mind that First line is displayed after Data Entry, the step following Cost recovery at CIO. This is when an electronic file is created in GCMS. PER, AOR and file transfer don't trigger a CAS update.

You can only view the application status after 1st line has been added

Dear All,

I have a matter of concern. I am an 16th oct applicant but still there are no signs of DD encashment or PER. Nd m thoroughly worried about the validation of the dd. In my opinion standard SBI dd is valid for 3 months.

Seniors please guide.

International DD's are valid for 6 months. Keep checking with your bank to verify if your DD was encashed. They will need to check with their Forex team to validate the information.

while applying for express entry.. there is a section which asks the Question that have you applied for citizenship and immigration to canada before ? and if you click on yes then they ask for the UCI number .. I am a october FSWP applicant and also have my UCI number .. (which is not showing any status update) so should i click on a yes and provide the UCI number .?

Please help.

Actually it seems that it could be both ways. I used the format without the hyphen and other members as you have reported using the hyphen.
