EDMONTON:

I have read many discussion in this forum about Canadian winter and cities. I just want to comment on EDMONTON.
- During your 1st year, you will pretty much hate Edmonton. By many, it's called Deadmonton. During summer you will probably fall in love with the city, will have a drive thru Rocky, visit heavenly places like Jasper. For the next winter you will learn to adjust your clothing and life style. And by the 3rd year you will really love the place.
- If you have kids, just know that the city is literally designed for them. Great indoor and outdoor activities for kids. Any public school in your neighborhood is better than an expensive privets school in your home country. School boards are very friendly, great education and great teachers. Your children will love to go school and feel that they are accepted.
- you cannot buy a car if you don't have Alberta insurance, which means Canadian driver license. When you have one, they will ask for insurance from your previous years and if you don't have it, it will cost a fur tune. So take with you any insurance paper, translated , and present it in Edmonton
- if you have a tight budget, go to Goodwill or Value Village for coats especially. You will find a Colombia/north face coat for less than 20 dollars. Just trow it into the washing machine. For your kids, if you are really short on budged, go ask school for winter clothing and they will provide you 2nd hand clothing for free.
- For bulk food non perishable items go to Superstore or Walmart. They are not located at easy access but much convenient than Safeway or Save on Foods. Also use coupons, look for them.

Just received my MR request by e-mail, no update on E-CAS, still on first line only.
YAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY!!!!!!! Sao Paulo Visa Office is SOOOOOOOO fast!

Timeline
NOC 2281
App filled: July 9th
CC charged: October 28th
PER: November 4th
MR: November 27th

SS updated.
Time to call the doctors! 8) 8) 8)

please help me.I have been charged cc and now waiting for PER.I sent bank statement of $15000 AUD which was at that time same as required but now im less $200 dollars due to currency fluctuations.can i get ner on this ?
i Im Noc 4011.CC charged today 27 Nov.Application date 11 Sep.Please update SS.

Though I don't have solid knowledge, my guess is they will ask for new proof of funds after PER; when file transferred to visa office.

Manisha you have to send dd of 100rs/- to ndvo with name n other details of person , whom you wanna give +1
And cic will add +1 after dd clearnce
( or complete 20 posts and after that u will get this option under screen name )

Hello guys,

I have been a passive member of this forum and I must confess you guys are doing a terrific job.

I'm an October 27th applicant, NOC 1111. I just found out I made a mistake while filling out my IMM 5046 form (Additional Family information form). I'm the principal applicant with my wife as an accompanying spouse. We both filled out the form but on both forms, my name comes on the applicant column, while her name is in the spouse column. I'm just realizing her name should be on the applicant column on her form. All other information were correctly filled.

My worry is this, will this mistake warrant outright rejection of my application?? if yes, how can i correct it before my application goes in for completeness check next month? undecided ? if i want to send an amended IMM5046 form, how do I go about it? please this is very urgent...help a brother please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BRO as per NDVO trends based on FSW13, it will take 9 to 10 months for VISA

so may 14 guys can expects news in Jan 15. so PPR in yr 2014 from NDVO is
