Hello all - I would like to share the news from my side. I got PER mail from CIC today and would like to thanks everybody here for helping me on each step.

Details for my applications are:
1. Application Date: 31st July
2. CC Charged: 7th Nov
3. PER mail received: 25th Nov
4. NOC: 2171

However, inspite of this great news, I would like to get the input on one of the issues that I am coming across. Request all the experts on this forum for the helping hand.

Problem is: My Passport is getting expired in Sept, 2015. And with the pace, I think it will take another 2-3 months for the complete process. And as I understand, I would be getting the VISA for one year or until Passport expiry date (whatever is early). Also, we have a fact that we cannot travel for the six months prior to Passport expiration and we need to go for its re-newel process. Therefore, I will be in problem in Jan-Feb because of this scenario. Please help me if I should get the passport renewed asap before the MR and how shall I update CIC for this change. On the Application Status site for CIC, I only see the option for changing the mailing address and nothing to contact them in case of other problems.

PLEASE SUGGEST ASAP!

Regarding your question : get your passport renewed and send its copy to your VO after around 15days from PER received date, so that they have your file to process.
You can also wait till MR and then send the passport copy. However i would suggest, you send the passport as soon as you get it

thanks for your reply. It meant that your application didn't well pass through the Completeness check. I have read some members here, that during that check, they are also matching your JD's.

This is where i based my NOC Job description and got around 80% of what it states. Below are the some of the duties mentioned for your NOC. Hope it helps even in a small way..

University professors and lecturers specialize in a particular subject matter such as biology, chemistry, anatomy, sociology, business administration or law.
Employment requirements

A doctoral degree in the field of specialization is required for university professors.

A master's degree in the field of specialization is required for university lecturers.

Licences or professional certification may be required for professors teaching future practitioners in certain professionally regulated fields, such as medicine, engineering, architecture, psychology or law.

my friend, his LOR is matching perfectly to the mentioned duties in the NOC website, its very stange for me to get rejection cause of this, please expert advise as i believe this LOR could be model example of NOC matching JD .....very strange

Have just realized that my PER will be sent to my consultant who is in Vancounver and 6h behind me, it means that whether it is issued or not I will only get to know at night if he forward the PER to my email.

Freaking out here bros!

Guys, need help on this.

I received a mail from LVO for the additional docs,

1. Police Certificates ---- ok, as i didnt provided one earlier.
2. Bank Statement ----- i did attach earlier but its understandable for them to ask again as it is now 5 months old.
3. Work Experience ----- why again ? i already provided one with all the details. What could be the reason for asking it again? i am a bit confused. I can get the same letter with current date but do they want a different from the previous one, its a bit unclear! can somebody share their experience or thoughts?? below is what they wrote in the mail.

"Work experience documents.

You must submit a job description and a reference endorsed by your present employer (Multinet Pakistan Pvt Ltd) on company letterhead. A copy of your present employment contract and copies of your current payslips. Please provide any other additional information that is relevant to your current employment. "

Can you tell us when you received your PER please? I need to get an estimate timeframe. I received my PER on the 4th of October and still haven't received any news from the LVO.

I have got ME request email from CIC, which is a good news.

However, we are not able to do the Medical Exam as my wife has pregnant for 7 months now.

It is said that we will need to inform the CIC about this situation and delay the ME until the baby is born. Is this true, should we do the ME now?

I am wondering when someone gets ME request, does this means they will only need to pass the ME to get the VISA issued?

Yes,you must pass your medicals to be given the visa please.

Thanks for your sharing and emotional support.

When I asked for the LOR, I carefully stated all the requirements based on the NOC JD that you posted. I believed it should meet at least about 80% of the requirement.

Frankly speaking, I just do not know what was wrong, and how the LOR should be. If you are also apply as a Lecturer, can you share your LOR for reference?
