There is nothing called NER or PER to be honest. These are forum invented terms. There are people in SS who didn't receive PER email, and still did not receive a refund.

In my opinion, when an application is put into processing, it means that file is successful in completion check and the file has been shifted to a higher authority who doesn't touch file before fee is paid.

If the higher authority approves it then it's a eligibility pass, if they send it back because they found something is incomplete then it's a incomplete file return with refund. They the authority finds that file is complete still applicant doesn't look capable enough to establish himself financially in Canada, then it's a refusal with no refund.

PS: I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure. ;D :D

NER for sure is a forum invented term. No doubt about it. But it is invented for the benefit of a layman
Also non eligible candidates do get a refund. It may be a little delayed, but refund is for sure. This is also mentioned on CIC website. Only after PER is issued, no refund is possible.

Hello my dear friends,
My application has been received by CIC on Nov 4. I have applied under NOC 2173.
Do you think there is any chance for not being capped?
I will be grateful if you answer my question.
Best Regards

You will NOT be grateful to hear that there are really no chances. You've to try your luck in 2172 or any other cold NOC!

Dear Seniors,

Need your kind support.

My Visa office is NDVO.
I received medical request today and I have to submit all requested docs with RPRF till 26-Dec (45 days).

Currently I am outside my home country from last month.

i. Can I perform my medical examination from CIC authorised doctor in abroad? Will NDVO accept it.
YES

ii. Do I need to update NDVO that currently I am outside of my homeland? Should I send this information with updated forms with medical receipt or quickly I send them email on this.
is it the same job different location??

iii. My spouse and dependent are in India. They will go for medical examination there only. Is it ok if we submit medical receipt from different doctors one from India and other from Austria.
YES

iv. Or if I should plan a quick trip to India and complete all medical formalities.

Thanks in advance.

CONGRATS

While I agree with CanOl, I'd advice you to get Med done in India if that's possible unless your "foreign" trip is to an eastern and developing country.

This is because there's a huge cost difference. For e.g cost for getting Med done here in the UK is £300+, which works out about Rs. 30,000! Compared to that in India it'd be only Rs. 4500 (or £45)

Perfect ! India is very economical to get Meds done.

That's cold. How people are surviving in this weather? Are they not leaving their homes at all?

Sent app again today, will hopefully reach by monday. Funny how till last week, I wanted CIC to slow down charging July applicants so that there still might be chances for June guys. Today, am getting happy at the speed August is progressing Perspectives, eh?

So shall I create a new entry in the SS by a diff name or rewrite my previous entry?

Thats not cold for calgary. The really cold temperatures are usually during the night.
If there is no wind the cold in calgary is fine because it is dry and sunny in wintwr.
I rememer minus 25. We were happy if neighbour kids offered to shovel our drivewa for 5 bucks
The coldest temperature during the day I experienced was minus 42
I left the house through our garage in the car to get groceries. I had no gloves on.
When i left the car to the supermarked those few meters until I was in the store my hands huertso bad I almost cried.
That was too cold. But those temperatures are rare
In Calgary the weater changes fast and the snow comes fast and goes fast.
In Edmonton the snow stays forever

Hi Friends,

I got my PER mail on 24th Oct and I applied for PCC from Bangalore. My address in Passport and present address is different. I was not expecting to get PCC , but to my surprise, I got PCC on same day. No police verification done now for PCC. But they do asked me submit the checklist for CANADA FSW.
I am now glad atleast I got the PCC without any harassment by police.

Thanks
Chinmay
