By the way, CIC might not be breaking the rules with their recent explosion of NOC 21XX Charging. This simply could be because they want to close the cap for these nocs so no one else send new apps, and also for them to send back the out of cap apps immediately without opening them.

We all know that August completeness check was already done, so most probably what happened is that they took those apps that passed completeness already and calculated within cap and prioritized charging for NOC 21XX to update their website. However, it doesn't mean that those NOCs are prioritized over others because once completeness check is done, you are calculated in the cap. The difference only is that when your file will be reviewed again to send the PER. It is similar to the trend some VO's are following. Once you are calculated in the cap it doesn't matter. Your file will be reviewed when they decide to review it and issue the visa. So there might be some preferences for NOC's over others.

This is my point of view, might be right, might be wrong

Dear All,

I am Shekher from New Delhi. Selected Visa office as NDVO. Please don't treat that I am telling a lie or something fake but would like to inform you all that I sent my file for NOC 2171 on August 20th 2014 (Wednesday) via DHL. It reached on August 25th 2014 (Monday) signed by "Blank". Called DHL and checked the Proof of Delivery. It was received by DAN.

As per my understanding and analysis, I was expecting my CC to be charged on December 12th 2014 and PER on December 22nd 2014. However I received an SMS today stating that CAD 1250 has been charged on your credit card on November 11th 2014 at 07:08 AM IST.

I also got the alert on my email as below:

Dear XXX Cardmember,

Thank you for banking with XXXX

We are pleased to provide you details pertaining to your xxx Credit Card Account.

1,250.00 CAD was spent on your Credit Card XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX on 11-NOV-14 at CITIZENSHIP & IMM FS.Final FX rates and charges are applicable.

I was reading on this forum that CIO is charging CCs for August 1st 2014. But I am an applicant for August 25th 2014. Now accordingly I believe I should receive PER by November 22nd 2014. Please correct me if I am wrong. Now I am assuming that since the top 2 NOCs are fully capped, so they are concentrating on the next 2 NOCs. If you have noticed that NOC 2171 was 5th top and now after the last update, it is on number 4th.

A friend of mine has swum against the stream and has had his CC charged yesterday, and here is his complete file info.:

NOC : 1112
File delivered : 24/07/2014
CC Charged : 10/11/2014
Visa office : Cairo, Egypt

I did not expect any action in his file these days for 2 reasons a permanent 1 and a temporary 1:

1- Permanent: NOC 1112 has capped and we were not sure whether he is inside the cap
2- Temporary: All NOCs, except NOCs 2171 & 2173, was frozen yesterday.

What gives me another reason to be very happy for him, that I contributed 80% of the effort required for his file to be ready for submission and it worked at the end

Please pray for him for PER and for me and the remaining brothers in the forum for hearing good news in the near future.

I am 11 Sept applicant, and the way CIC guys are charging CC, I am quite worried if I will able to clear the 2171 NOC cap.
This is my third attempt and both last times I was an inch behind the cap. This time also I am thinking the scenario will become the same.

Need this forum views/comments on the cap of 2171 NOC.

You will be definitely in the cap. Because if you are not in the cap, i am not in the cap
ok jokes apart, my guess is september people are safe in this NOC. But CIC is behaving so weird recently..
but yeah..as you said..coming close and not being in cap will pinch us.

Yeah, I appreciate your positive thinking. But, I was told by the bank from where i got my DD that money is transferred to RBC as soon as we are issued a DD. Your money straight goes to canadian funds before it is officially declared to be encashed by the real beneficiary i.e. CIC nova scotia. If they are trying to reach caps faster for hot NOCs then on the other hand they are depriving other NOCs of the true picture of their cap status. Hence, the consultant false claims still become popular for the rest of the NOCs. My God, the idiotic theories they tell to their clients. The cash inflow factor is a very big factor in case of DDs (and people prefer DDs due to CC instability and locking issues). Against 25000 applications they would be receiving in lacs. This is am advantage that most people in the field of finance understand better (may be I am not that literate in that are, just my little brains analysis)

Yes, we are boosting Canadian Economy I tend to believe, the biggest chunks of apps from Consultants would also be from hot NOCs. Anyways, consultants have already started approaching their prospective clients with EE, even without having complete details of EE process.. they will always find the ways to lock the clients in!!

Got a mail from CIC today stating that my file is being transferred to my local VO, along with a UCI and File number.I'm guessing my application must have been positive.
Good Luck to all who are waiting for a response from CIO.Will update the SS if this email is considered a PER .This forum has been very informative and thanks for all the info around on this forum

Its been 20 days since i received my PER. An ECAS update shows "We received your application for permanent residence on June 9, 2014"
When will second line of update be der. And after 2nd update how many days it take to get MR request??
