Guys,

Could somebody please help me. I am June last and July 1st week applicant under 2174.I called CIO for status.
They gave me the UCI number. The lady further told that they don't have any other information about the application except UCI number.
CIC online tracking system is not finding any information about the UCI number provided over the phone.
I have strong feeling that my application has been returned due to the CAP reach.
Could somebody please confirm if UCI is generated even if the application is returned due to the CAP reach?
Prompt response will be appreciated.

Yes, all applications being returned (even due to CAP reach) are provided with UCI number.

Another query. I do not have surname in passport. While filling I783 form. What to fill in "Surname field" as this is mandatory field.

What amount should I put in DD? 1100CAD *current rate ? the rate may increase right?
And is it should be from Nationalized bank? or can I take from ICICI Bank?

Jugal, why don't you issue a DD rather. It is much safer than CC, that too not your own.

You know the issues faced in CC payment !! change of card, loss of card, payment declined for stupid reasons, Change of rules for banks regarding CC, etc etc.

Firstly, please do not loose hope, unless you hear something from CIC directly. I wish you the very best and hope you hear good news soon.
Secondly, would you mind sharing the number and the process or options to choose to connect to CIC to get the UCI.

I was trying to get what trend they are charging. Found that NOC 2171, 2173 were charged in the last few days but i am sure they will work on the other NOC's as well

I'm sorry, you must be really stressed with this delay... My application arrived only 14 days ago and I'm already stressed!

Did you pay by CC also?

It is not a delay, since it didn't pass 110 days waiting time yet. I am just frustrated with the lack of consistency. All of a sudden they come up with a "brilliant" idea and make people freak out. This is a first world country (theoretically), hence the authorities should have the same approach to everyone, regardless of the country, race, noc and other bullshit. It happened before when they terminated the backlog with FSW or abolished investor visa. And applicants are still claiming their fees refund. The way they treat people actually gives me a definite purpose to become Canadian simply to vote against conservatives in every coming election.
