I'm 10 july app, DD payment but no news yet! not enchased nor PER!

my ECAS was showing nothing last night and today just checked as every morning and PUMMMM "In Process" I dont know if I should jump of happiness or not!

I was expecting "we received your app on july 10"

Please advice!!!!

Prepare a cover letter explaining the POD of earlier package, date your complete details like name, dob, passport number, and mail them another package asap. also, once you get this package delivered, fax them the details of this package and your earlier one so they can easily match

Hi everyone! Haven't visited the forum for a long time. Congrats to all those getting good news and patience to those waiting. Yesterday, I finally received a letter from my local VO asking for police certificates and proof of funds. But no medical forms... Do you think it's ok or there is something suspicious about it?

Do the needful at the moment. Seems like the officer wants to satisfy on the axe two things before shooting MR.

I had a question about the ECAS update is it true that after the 2nd line ECAS is updated the applicant gets medical request.
Is it that there is some different stage after 2nd line ECAS updated.
This is for NDVO mainly i am asking.
Please do help me out in this query of mine.

2nd line in ECAS gets updated around the time MR is issued. +/1 few days here and there.

Received RPRF request from NDVO today...

App reached to CIC Sydney - 28/May

PER email received - 24/Sept

Unknowingly, I had done upfront medicals in April prior to sending application. Sent medical information along with a cover letter within application set. 3rd line added in ECAS today that 'Medicals have been received'.

I have been asked to pay RPRF only for spouse & myself. I understand that it is not applicable for my 4.5 yr old child. Someone please confirm.

Also, I have been asked to provide 'COPY of ORIGINAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE' of child. Has someone else also been asked for a similar thing ? Also, I understand this as photocopy of birth certificate only. Why are they asking this even if it (a copy) was provided along with application itself.

Congrats, actually smart move to send medicals upfront...hhhmmmm

yes, only RPRF for adults, not for children. So CAD $490 x 2 = 980

send them if they are asking, no questions asked bro

1. Transcripts are not mandatory. Degrees are.
2. I am not sure on this. Do we have to send Visa copies ? Passport entries should suffice in my opinion for travel undertaken. Or have I got your question wrong ?

Please read section 8 and 13 of IMM_5612 (document checklist) carefully especially the bottom couple of lines of section 13.

The NOC i am applying for indicates Degree requirement of Computer Science or maths ... but I have Electronics/ Electrical Engineering degrees with some coursework in Computers and maths..

Can some one please advise - Will my application get rejected for not having Computers as my degree title ? :'(

The main reason I don't like UK winter is that UK winters tend to be very dark and gloomy. Very little sunshine. Very short days i.e it starts getting dark around 3.30 PM in December and we get very low dark clouds pretty much every day with windy and drizzly weather. Even days feel like nights.
Similar situation in Canada as well.

It does get cold, but it hasn't snowed much for last 3 years. So far I have not had any problem with the cold temperature. I did not hate it even when it was -8 C last winter. But I did hate the fact that I did not see sunshine for almost 2-3 months! Get ready to get for -30C to -40C, with lots of snow and few snow storms.

Plus I feel people in the UK don't tend to embrace the winter. There is not much to do during winters apart from drinking down the local pub.
Same story in Canada though you an go for skiing, etc.

Hopefully, Canadian winters will be more sunnier and people will embrace the winter and live thru it instead of trying to just escape the country!
Even if its sunnier, temperature is going to be -20C to -30C (some times with wind chill it will be around -30 to -40) You wont even fell sun.

I think Vancouver / BC doesn't have as cold winters as in other parts of Canada.

I do hear people using words like "harsh" and "brutal" to describe Canadian winters. Does it really get brutal in say for example Toronto? This of course make me feel a bit scared.
What ever I mentioned above is in Toronto. More North you go more worse.

dinshel, it depends (is the answer), nopes in most of the cases who got MR within +/- 1 week of 2nd line getting updated. Hope this helps
