credit charged on 15th oct 2014 Still havent recieved any mail or update....is there any concern because of which I haven't received any mail or update. ...waiting for ur comments and also let me kbow what should I do in such situations

It can take a month to get the PER after payment charge for some apps.

Finally got our passports with Immigrant Visas.

Immigrant Visa Issued: October 27, 2014

You can get it from Indian Embassy / Consulate in your state. For me it took a week.

Whst is the process at consulate ?

I sent my aplication & originals with friend and they denied to accept application on my behalf.
I know there is mail in option but I dont want to send passport by that. If I visit personally, can I finish off in single visit or should I submit documents (original) in morning & then in evening I need to be present to collect ?
