Hi All,

My application reached CIC on 18 Aug. I had enclosed a DD from ICICI Bank, India.

I just wanted to know if there is any validity date on the DD, since my DD was obtained in the end of July, its now more than 3 months. When I enquired the bank's branch, they are not clear on whether the Forex DD validity is 3 months or 6 months.

Request the forum members to clarify the validity of the forex DD.

Thanks in advance...

Many of the applications charged under DD made from India spent more than 90 days before being charged at CIC. Hence we can conclude that there in nothing to worry about. Sit back and relax.

I don't think #2 is a problem. However if you failed to declare your US student and tourist visa refusals - that's misrepresentation. As soon as your have PER and have a file number, you need to mail in an updated form where you declare these refusals and include a covering letter explaining that you answered incorrectly.

That needs to be sent to Local VO right?

Hi,
Sorry to hear that.
Did you submit any document in support of Birth Certificate? If you could please provide details on it that would help fellow forumites to understand the exact reason.

Thank you.

Some highlights/lowlights of my app:

Sent my brother's matric certificate for relationship proof as addendum in September

Yes, anything after PER should be sent to VO.

Thanks, Good Luck.

Yesss exactly my reason why I do not wanna share it now viveksharma....thank you for understanding

+1 for your efforts man. After you have secured your application and successfully kicked him out of your case.
You should raise a complaint against him at

http://www.iccrc-crcic.ca/AboutUs/public/complaintsDiscipline.cfm

Also check if his name is already in the list at following link
http://www.iccrc-crcic.ca/CDnotices.cfm

Maybe he is already under disciplinory notice and knows he would be kicked out soon any way.

Cheers

Hi NDVO applicants,

Whosoever sent the PCC, RPRF fee receipt to NDVO, what was the mode: courier, registered post, normal post or by hand.

Please confirm.

Go for courier, It faster and safer compared to regular post.

Hi Gauransh,

If you have written a cover letter stating that the 10th certificate could be used in lieu of BC and providing reasons for not including the BC..you are good to go. Plus the 10th certificate should have the following details:

1. Name of your spouse
2. DOB
3. Parent's Name (Fathers or Mothers)

My application was rejected even though I had an affidavit from my spouse's parents. They need some kind of an explanation if we are not including any of the documents as to why it is missing.

International DDs are valid for 6 months. Do you see a expiry date on the DD that you sent?
