I am not sure but to me it looks like - the people who have received emails for rejections might have sent enquiry emails for their applications and hence the response. I have no knowledge of having seen any such case but that is my gut feeling.

Sometimes....Few FSW14 reported that their NER via email too..........

DD encashed on 09 oct as per my bank informed me.
Can anybody please tell me what is the maximum waiting period for PER mail after DD encashed?
Anybody who got their PER after 20 to 40 days?

I dont think anybody here can give a maximum waiting period but there have been cases where PER was received with a delay.
Since the DD is encashed, its a positive sign hopefully you will get the notification soon as well...
