Hey Buddy, I strongly recommend against using Agents for the FSW process. CIC recommends that you do it yourself if you can read english and have access to the Internet. Everything you need is out there.

And, should you have any questions in the process, feel free to stop by here, and someone will assist you.

I myself spoke to an agent in Canada first, then decided to do it myself (and I don't regret it a bit). I found this forum to be the best "agent" in the world . Thanks to all the seniors who share their wisdom on this forum.

Ur Spanish doc need to have a copy which will translate in English.....This is mandatory...Since CIC will read that english copy....

But can the phrase I certify that its a true copy be stamped in English even though the original document copy is in spanish. This what the notary writes in the copies of the original documents that have to be sent to CIC.

Agree with u.. At the end of the day... You are the one who will keep running for your documents. Noonee can take care of your file Except yourself.

I received my medical on 17 september 2014.they asked for my RPRF-PCC-Medical and boimetric page of passport.I sent them all this documents including copy of my old passport which was valid.But now i have got a new passport .I have emailed the scan copy of my passport to London visa office.do i need to sent hard copy to LVO.

I am already on work permit in Canada which is expiring in 2 weeks, I need the file number to get an extension of my work permit.
Can you please guide by when should i expect any notification from cic.
Also what is the difference between a file number and PER?

Guys I got my PER today.

I got an email from CIO with UCI & Applucation number. It is what you called PER, Right?

Senior, would you kindly list full form of all acronyms used here for the ready reference?


Application received date: June 26
CC charged: October 14
PER : October 23 (on Auspicious day of Diwali)
NOC : 1123

Could you please provide the exact timelines. as in App Received Date, CC/DD Date, PER Date, MR/RPRF/PCC Date.. so that we can estimate the PPR Date as per SS analysis..
