Important information from cicnews.com:

What to do if your occupation is capped out

If you find that your primary occupation is capped out, you may have other options for immigration to Canada:
Overlapping occupation descriptions under the FSWP
Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) provides a description of main duties and sample occupation titles for each eligible FSWP occupation. In some cases, these duties and titles overlap across different National Occupation Classification (NOC) codes. Take, for example, Computer programmers and interactive media developers. An applicant who was eligible under this occupation might also be eligible as an Information systems analyst or consultant (NOC 2171), Database analyst or data administrator (NOC 2172), or Software engineer/designer (2173). The preceding three occupations have not yet capped out.

Previous work experience in another occupation
The FSWP requires an applicant to have at least one year of work experience in an eligible occupation in the past 10 years, but this does not necessarily have to be the applicant's current or most recent occupation. An applicant could have made a career change in the past 10 years. If the applicant finds that his or her current occupation is capped out, he or she might be eligible under another occupation. For example, a computer programmer who used to work as a civil engineer within the last 10 years may be eligible to apply as a civil engineer (NOC 2131).

The applicant's spouse might be eligible for immigration to Canada
Applying for Canadian immigration is a family affair. An application includes a principal applicant and his or her spouse or children. If the principal applicant's occupation is capped out and he or she is married, the spouse's work history should be examined for experience in one of the eligible occupations for the current FSWP.

And many more on http://www.cicnews.com/2014/10/federal-skilled-worker-occupation-caps-49-remain-open-act-quickly-104009.html

thanks for sharing deepearl :) +1 for you :)

Have you sent your application? If yes, then there is nothing much you can do now, except for waiting. There are two beliefs now. That you will be in cap is one and you know the other. It is better to believe in the first one as that's what has made you send the app. Why do you want to take opinion now and make your life miserable if some one says "No"? Will you call back your app if some one says you wont be in cap?

Lets hope for the best and be positive. Good Luck!!

:-* +1 for these words :)

anyone having knowledge of getting rejected on this ground mentioned below,

actually i have submitted the scanned copy of (BC,MC which is translated and notarized ) not the original translation .Also, not submitted (notarized BC,MC in native language)

Yes, I think so you will make it.

Send the original translated copy translated by certified translator and also get this original translation copy notarized. Along with this send the photocopy of non-english document notarized.

Best of luck.

Hi guys, just wanted to update you...my bank draft was cashed yesterday on October 14th :). I am a June 23rd applicant. Waiting for PER email.
Congrats nd +1

You must land in Canada before the expiry date, which appears on your Canada Immigration Visa. Usually, the expiry date is one year from the time medical examinations were completed. As this is not always the case, be sure to verify the expiry date as soon as you receive your Canada Immigration Visa.

But the question is: why you think you want to wait after VISA ? after all this WORKOUT for what ? ;)

Hello all,

When the visa is issued.. how much time will one have to land in Canada ? 6 months or one year ?

Hurray!!!!!

PER! PER! PER! ......

:D :D :D :D :D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Just now received PER mail from my consultant. It was received 4:56PM Eastern Time on 15th October 2014.

Few important points related to my application:

1. I have worked in 4 organizations and sent reference letter on company letter heads for my present company (2+ years) and last company (4+ years). For the remaining two, I took an email copy duly signed by my supervisor and attached their business cards.
2. I had a HDFC DD which didn't state any expiry date

I am so happy and relieved ... it's been a long wait of 125 days but totally worth it. For people waiting for their PER my advise would be to wait patiently and do not get flustered by future date applicants getting PER before you. Even in my case, many people from third week of June have already received their PER. What matters is that I too received it...

Party tonight and then another patient wait for MR....

PER received ::08 oct 2014
ECAS STATUS : inprocess
Should we inform NDVO about birth of new baby?
Or should we send when requested ?
We have only 14600 CAD in our account
As per website fund required for 3 member is 18097 CAD
WILL OUR FILE BE REJECTED IF WE HAVE NOT SHOWN ENOUGH FUND
CAN WE INCLUDE MORE FUND AT THIS STAGE ?
Pls help me .....
You would have been sent with the email id in PER i guess where you can contact and update the information related to your application and get the formal process about the same from your VO.

I think you need to get your kids birth certificate and make sure your names are mentioned clearly and also you can add some more funds and show the required amount available in form of DD or saving in short get an updated POF along with set of forms with updated information

I am sure once the VO office receives the information through the email they would mention the formal process about how to go about it.
Seniors or experience please comment.

NOC : 2171
App Received: June 13
CC Charged Oct 1
PER : Oct 15

WOW that was a long 14 day wait ;D

Thanks to all the support from this forum.

PS: This might be minor thing. Like someone mentioned earlier. my Last name was misspelled by 1 letter.

HI Zentury,

i also got my last name misspelled :(
i will await AOR to communicate it to my visa office

good luck :)

You have to show the revised POF - for this, you won't be rejected.

I would suggest ask NDVO through https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/case-cas-eng.aspx?mission=new%20delhi&_ga=1.261201732.899793830.1410419936 about what you need to send.

The following documents may need to be sent through courier as suggested by Ashif Bhai earlier:

1. Updated Additional Family Information IMM5406” FOR U AND SPOUSE.
2. 150 CAD bank draft
3. With a cover letter mentioning your new born child addition.
4. Child Birth Certificate
5. Passport copy of your child.
6. updated Bank cert+statement
7. PHOTO-6 COPIES (WITH FIVE COPIES WRITTEN WITH NAME+DOB+Photo taken date )
8. Generic form
