I think the reason Century suggested that is for people to make an inquiry to know if they are rejected (worse cast scenario) as sometimes it takes 6 months for the application to return and 6 months is a very long time to wait and then receive bad news. If you get PER, then you will know at around the same time, so no harms done.

I actually appreciated this suggestion by Century a lot and gave him +1 for it

I guess there's no harm in sending an inquiry early to avoid delaying the news.

I got a response from them yesterday, I emailed them August 27 regarding any status update. Their exact response:

"Your file is with our office and is undergoing initial processing. You will be contacted further in due course."

I'm a 2174 - June 20th applicant.

Posts like this one give me a lil bit of hope... eventhough our apps are almost a month and a half apart from each other (september 5th here)

From the SS you were the only person applying for 2174 on june 26th.

don't forget to update the SS

Congratulations on your "money more than well spent"

Also based on the SS, there are 62 more apps (including mine) from june 30th till september 29th to be charged (which is the last date with applications sent for 2174).
As there were 183 "spots" left before the 1000 update (817 one day before) it might be possible that most of these 62 apps (if not all) will be charged and counted towards the cap.

My credit card finally got charged last night. For those who used old application form, just let you know, my application was received on 26 Jun and I am also using the old generic form. Good luck everyone and hope I can receive PER soon!!

Remark: I am using old generic form that was updated on 17 June!~ I guess they should have give some allowance to June application.

In the spreadsheet, the entry for santosh014 mentions NOC is 2173. Did you have a second application for 2174 as well that reached CIC on June 26, 2014?

If indeed 2174 has been charged today after it has been reported that the CAP is full, then lot of things would change for many people. So please confirm

its not a miracle buddy....may be they have counted ur and many other apps in the cap but didn't charged yet...until now.....anyways its a good news for our friend......yeah lets celebrate lucky fellow. good luck.

Not sure from your end.. but according to the current situation.. it's truly a miracle for me buddy.. However.. you would have known the pain if you could have applied it couple of months late.. Anywys.. there is no wrong.. in giving thanks to the Lord ALWAYS and acknowledging HIS works.. rather than just for miracles ..

Hi all, this is my first try here, in writing. I just read on the forum that Idp s given 5 additional IELTS reports at the cost of the courier. To which address they sent your additional reports? I needed to get add.reports for my sis-in-law. And they say they can only send out copies to embassy, university etc. Plzz help out.

This doesn't look like a miracle to me. 2174 cap filled up on Fri. Mon was a holiday. So today they charged CC for those that filled the cap... pretty straight forward. A few could get rejection at the PER stage, which could lead to more CC charges for 2174 down the line. Who knows, you may be the 1000th applicant. You may call that a miracle if you like.

If you know this much of information.. why didn't you put forward when people were breaking their heads regarding this 2174 cap reach... However.. It's good to give thanks to the Lord and acknowledge HIS works as daily miracles.. You may not like it.. but it's good to be like..
