What's the problem with your name brother? I like your name very much. A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.

Out of words 8)!! Thank you so much. +1 as a sign of appreciation.

The point 2 is enough to get you application rejected without any of the others. Go ahead, be thorough, and fill another application ASAP.

Point 1, is the Original Birth Certificate of your son in english? Who did the translation? If it is original in english, you don't need it notarized.
point 1: original is in my native language and English issued by the government, it's like one line in native language followed by another line in english. but the issue is the names are in native language only.
point 2: not sure about this, no previous rejections heard for lacking original notarization, and a couple of applications did the same thing and they got PER.

Dude,

When you have so many reputed courier services, why did you go for "not very often used" option? It is a risk with any govt org in India. They dont respond properly. Catch hold of the person who took your courier.

Speed post is considered a courier. However, they might assign a different tracking no. once it is assigned to a different courier. So, try and get that, if possible.

I'm sorry, I misread. You said original notarization, not original translation, is that it? Translation with affidavit is a must and should be original.

I can't comment on the point 1, I'm sorry.

In your place, if I had several doubts as you have, I would send the new application ASAP, and use the CC strategy so it is not as expensive.

i can hardly say you misread or i misspell or anything....
in my country, a notary public organization is responsible for translation and notarization. there's no such thing as affidavit in my country - China, to be precise.
so i only scanned them and printed out and sent with my application.
i always thought CIC would inform applicant by email if their application is returned. but apparently i was wrong, so, arranging to send another application.

Mail your completed application to the Centralized Intake Office in Sydney, Nova Scotia (see the "Economic Classes" subsection).

Find out more about the barcode form.

From the Guide 7000 (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG7TOC.asp#eg73):
"Translation of documents

Any document that is not in English or French must be accompanied by:

the English or French translation; and
an affidavit from the person who completed the translation; and
a certified copy of the original document."

I'm from Brazil, and here the Affidavit is on the same page as the translation. Is just a letterhead and a seal that says the translator is recognized by the government.

Do you have something like this in China? The translations, as well as the notarized copy of the original language of the document must be original.
