It means they are sending your whole package to NDVO- this is normal for all the applicants. Nothing to worry.

I had sent a mail to CIC on August 21st asking if they received my additional documents for Payment Form as I lost my CC. I got a repy yesterday which is as follows:

"Please be advised that on October 2, 2014 a letter was sent to you via e-mail. Your file is currently in the queue for shipment to the visa office in New Delhi."

Now the question is, what exactly do they mean when they say "queue for shipment to VO"

1.) How is it shipped? I thought it would be scanned copies sent electronically. That would have speeded up the process a lot. If they are sending it by courier, its acceptable. But if they are sending it trough reguloar post, no wonder NDVO is taking so much time to dish out MR requests for applicants If anyone knows details regarding this, please post on the forum.

2.) Queue for shipment is scary. Not only that the documents have to be shipped, it should wait for its turn to be shipped!!!

HELP!

All, I'm a provincial nominee and sent my federal application on August 28th. I received my application back today with UCI number penned in and all BUT with the request to send a copy of birth certificate. They sent my whole package back.

Now here's the problem - I sent the birth certificate WITH the original mailing , they sent it back. My first incling was...someone isn't doing their job, checking the docs properly, just sent it back. I was going to send it back with a note. On second thought, it occurred to me that maybe they saw the birth certificate but have a problem with it. I don't believe they would have missed it. So instead of sending them back the package after losing 40 days, and repeating the cycle. I'm trying to make sure the basis is absolutely covered

So here's the only issue I think someone may have with the certificate , please comment if you have experience.

My original birth certificate has everything correct on but has two extra middle names (in my culture kids are given many names that are impratical to translate to official documents like passport etc so eventually those other names get dropped). My birth certificate has two extra names not on my passport. Let's say
my passport and other documents spell FS: X, MI: Y, LN: X My Birth certificate has FS: X, MI: Y, A, B: LN :X

FS - First name
MI - Middle Initial(s)
LN- Last Name

In other words on my birth certicate, the extra middle names A & B are present but Dropped on my passports, Drivers license, US work permit, VISAs, Transcript. Would they reject the birth certificate for this reason ?

EVERYTHING ELSE is intact on the BC - my DOB, parents name, notary from the local govt etc.

I think it is an issue, unless you provide a name change affidavit. I had 4 names earlier and cut is short to 2 names, but still had to file a name change affidavit and go through the entire legal process. The names I dropped are also middle names.

If you still have time and want to file another app, please get an affidavit stating that your name has been changed and file it along with the application to get this right this time around.

How do you know that documents have been received by NDVO on 3rd October. Which courier company u used which can courier on PO Box. I think you must have used India Post (normal)?

I used Blue Dart. You can send courier to NDVO address by any courier (even when it is PO Box) because all courier agencies are well aware of this address. They deliver about 50 parcels/day.

I got POD for my parcel and it was stamped from NDVO and 9 others also with same shipment address.

Somebody in the forum mentioned that and he/she got the extension for 10 weeks. You may want to check earlier posts.

Didn't quite get it. Wasn't the only experience letter that had details on your role and responsibilities (because you said only 2 of the 3 didn't have those details) for more than one year of experience? If it was, then you qualified for FSWP which only requires you to have one year of continuous work experience in last ten years. What have they got to do with rest of the experience?

I think PER is positive eligibility review. this is the initial review to check the completeness of the application, after that application is placed in queue for thorough processing.

As per my experience, last year i applied for same category 2132 and got PER, and after getting PER my application was straightway refused because two of my three job letters didn't have detailed job description though there was a brief written about full time work in category.

This year i got the detailed descriptions of job duties from all the three employers and again got PER.. now waiting for good news after PER this year..

Hi All,

I am sure that something went wrong with my app, as I havent still charged yet. I am May 22nd applicant (NOC-2131), have sent a follow up mail on Sep-20th, so waiting for a mail from them may be by this month end. I also tried to reach them over phone, spoke to an agent , where there was no proper response from them. I have also sent my details to one of my friend who stays in canada for enquiry regarding my app.

If my file gets returned, and i resend with the missing information, do I have any chance or shall I wait for Express entry starting in Jan-15 ?

I'll share post-landing experience of a friend from IT background, who got PR (through Provincial Nominee program) :

He is married but decided to go there alone first. He took a three month sabbatical from his company in India (just to be safe) which is enough time to get PR card there. He then went to Canada and stayed with his sister's family. He did job search by applying directly and through a consultant. He got a job in 3 weeks time (yes, just 3 weeks) after landing, and has now tendered his resignation at his company in India. His wife would also be joining him next month.

I know two other cases of IT professionals, who went to Canada with families and got jobs within 2-3 months time. Jobs which fit their profile.

The advice I receive from all the people I know who have moved to Canada in the last 5-7 years is that you have to wait for the right job, and should not go into survival mode immediately. If at all, you may do part time work in evenings so that you have remaining time in the day to apply for jobs and appear for interviews.

I hope I also have a good experience in Canada and am able to provide for my family a life at least as good as I am providing for them here in India. And I wish the same for everybody here.

It does mention everything (Father, Mother and DOB in words) very clearly and infact I had sent the colored photo copies of my certificates...

Then it should be ok. People here have got the PER with class X certificate only if the details are clear on it. So you should be ok
