It will take time to know by your bank whether your DD has been encashed or not - it may take around 3 days to 15 days to know it.

The following following flow can explain why it takes time to know DD encashment (posting it 2nd time in a day):

Please note the DD encashment flow below:

1. CIC submit DD to Central Bank of Canada (encashment day for CIO)
|
V
2. Central Bank sent it physically to Royal Bank of Canada (DD drawn on the bank) - it may perform same day or take several day.
|
V
3. Royal Bank will verify with ICIC bank in India
|
V
4. ICIC bank confirm and release the money
|
V
5. Royal Bank will confirm getting the money -possible time when ICIC bank will declare encashment
|
V
6. Royal bank release it to Central Bank of Canada
|
V
7. CIO get its money

Note the time difference between step 1 and step 5. Because of this gap, it takes time to bank to confirm encashment.

Any banker, if I am wrong, please let me correct it.

Wonderful explanation +1

Hi,

1. Follow the link http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/identity-history-summary-checks/submitting-an-identity-history-summary-request-to-the-fbi

2. Download the form

3. Get the finger print form printed on a thick card (a4 size). Any DTP centre should be able to do it.

4. Get ur finger print done in the card - you can do it yourself or visit any authorised finger print agency in ur area. They will do it for u.

5. 18$ is the charge per copy per person. Try using credit card mode. Cuz there is controversy in using DD mode.

6. Current wait time is 12 weeks cuz of some IT tool installation in their (FBI) system.

I posted it last month still waiting for my report. The earlier you act the better.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Vennila,

Can you pleas elaborate what is a DTP center ?

Regards
Arjun Singh

Hi Guys,

I do not have a Birth Certificate and hence will be providing an affidavit for the same. I also checked my SSC mark sheet. It has my birth date mentioned and hence along with affidavit I will also be providing the SSC mark sheet. Now I have 2 doubts related to the following:
  • Affidavit - I checked with a lawyer, he mentioned he has a format. But I am wondering is there anything specific that needs to be mentioned on the affidavit for canadian immigration
  • Should I send the original Affidavit along the application?

Hello Seniors Plz help

I have some questions
My application was received on 7th May but I got mail from CIC indicating that I have got only 66 points instead of 67 because of my spouse IELTS score. Now my spouse will take IELTS on 2nd October so will receive score on 15th October and than only I can apply again
so my question is What do you suggest is there any chance of getting into CAPS for FSW 2014??
My NOC is 2173

There is no any scope to file under 2173 now. It will be wastage of your courier fee. I am really sorry to say stavan, you have messed up the case by yourself. It was very clearly mentioned what band is required for spouse IELTS inorder to claim adaptability points. Then too I don't know why you wanted to sent your file with the one that not meet the eligibility criteria. Instead of being so much hurry your spouse could have taken retaken IELTS that time itself to meet the criteria. You may have to wait for another few days but it was a sure bet for you.

You have one way left now. To find any alternative NOC which matching with your roles and file under that if any.

+1 for the info

Use the format provided by lawyer. There is no guideline but I recommend to send original.
