Hi guys,

Just joined this forum. CIC received my application for NOC 1112 on 18th Sep. I am a bit worried if mine would fall within the cap. Just to clarify, does the cap refer to the number of complete applications received? It is not the PERs issued right? How long does it take for the CIC to undertake a completeness check?

Guys,

Based upon the recent trend in CAP update (30-Sep-2014), I've performed the Swing Analysis for NOC 2171, 2173 and 2174



The trend is almost similar to last week's update.

2171 has 36 applications,
2173 has 49 applications,
and 2174 has 60 applications

There is visible decline in pace for 2171, 2173, 2174, by 3.70%, 1.79%, and 0.09% receptively, as compared to last week's update.

I am not sure. I raised the same query with all expert in forun yesterday. But I did not get any reply so I think only way is wait watch and pray.....

do u think this pattern will take linear profression of 30 on average per week?
do u think it will not shot again at even 50 per week?

Yes, it should increase while hotter NOC's that people were rushing for during May should decrease. Total number of apps processed every week will be kept at constant 500. However, every week of CIC work should now cover a larger time span of apps being received.

Hopefully some senior member can provide his or hers 2 cents about my interpretation of the cap update....

NOC 2173 Applicant, received at CIO on Sept 26th (last friday!)

Average applications per cap update on the NOC is about 43 (considering only the last 6 updates). If that pace is kept it means that the CAP will be reached in approximately 16 or 17 weeks, which is January 16-23.

Also, the rough average days of application being charged from time of receipt at CIO is about 90-100 days, or 11-12 weeks.

Considering those numbers, i believe all applications under NOC 2173 received at CIO at 90 days before January 16 (Oct 16th) should be safe, give or take a few days.

Here's hoping i am right

this cap shows applications till first week of june...and considering ur figures that it will be filled up in approximately 16 week means that it will be filled up till mid of october....is it?

Hi everyone,

For anyone who is applying from USA or ever lived in US and need to get a PPC i.e from FBI, I would just to start applying early and not wait till the Medical Request since from Sep 7th the FBI has updated their web page with the below info:

"On September 7, 2014, CJIS installed a new IT system. As as result of this installation, we are experiencing delays in processing. Please be assured that each issue is being identified and resolved as quickly as possible, but at this time we anticipate processing time for an Identity History Summary to be approximately 12 weeks. Allow additional time for mail delivery. We respectfully request that you refrain from calling to check on the status of your request prior to 12 weeks."

Since when we get the Medical & PCC request the CIC gives only 60 Days to reply back, I'm in the similar situation got the request on Sep9th and I applied for the PCC from FBI in the same week. So looks like I have to reply back with only Medical and PCC from india before Nov 1st week and say that I'm waiting for FBI report and I'm sure that it would delay the process by a month or so.

To quote Diplomatru from Sept 23rd-
It was established earlier that the figures in the CIC under "applications we will accept..." section stand for issued PERs.
This conclusion is easily drawn from the fact that allocation of CAP and PER actually represent two sides of a coin. You cannot issue PER and not allocate the CAP and vice versa.

From FBI you will get it only by Dec Mid 2014. They need one month exclusively for updating and analyzing the Fingerprint ...Got a mail revert from them regarding this......
