I agree. Cover letter is not needed as Document checklist itself is a Cover letter (personal opinion).

True. Cover letter is not really required unless you need to give some important clarifications or want to explain certain docs discrepancies and the alternate docs provided.

How to show conversion to CAD? Does it need to be from a trusted partner?

Yes you can show funds from SA, India, and from the accounts of your spouse also.
Bank statements, PF, Fixed Deposists

if i got per in 4 month time, still i need to take pcc(india) again or i have no need to have fresh pcc.
