I am not really getting what consideration are you referring to. CIC only takes the documents into consideration for points purposes, i.e. to award points on the basis of those documents. But you clearly said you are interested in the points for PG diploma.

If your question is about your PG Diploma being considered for education; then the points will be considered for the education certified by WES; whatever they have approved in your WES report.

If your question is about your PG Diploma being considered for supporting your claim to a specific NOC; then my answer is no. because they will be considering your experience letters for that and not really your education.

If your question is something else; please elaborate.
thanks frasiercrane,
you got the point. i was asking for what you have explained in point 2. that means i can apply for NOC 1123 with 4 years experience in journalism and four years experience in public relations and advertising consultant.....

Dear forumites,

1.I worked in Saudi for 2 yrs for a company. However I was not a direct staff of this company. I was working for them through a contracting company. Means my sponsorship/salary etc came from this contracting company. In this case will it still be OK if I submit my experience in the letterhead of this contracting company mentioning all the details clearly?

2. Is it mandatory to mention the name/email/number of my immediate manager/supervisor in the reference letter in the company letterhead itself??
or is it ok if I provide the reference in a separate white paper?

Ishak

I am afraid with the return case of "ToCanadaWithLove"... I have also not included the following two forms in my application because they were not applicable to me:

1) Additional Dependants / Declaration (IM 0008 DEP)
2) Use of a Representative (IM 5476)

The only dependents are my wife and my baby (8 months old), therefore I didn't included IM0008DEP as the info of these two dependents are already included in Generic Form. However, in place of these two forms I printed two papers with the name of form written on them and "Not Applicable" written at the end.

Anybody else skipped these two forms and got PER??
Yes, these need to be included only if applicable or if you have a paid ...(refer document checklist for the exact highlighted words here).

Dear all,
By the grace of almighty Allah today i got a letter stating that they have received my application and some links how to inform CIC about any one of my status is changed. i am assuming that its a AOR.

Seniors need your help.

last month joined a new team with different job responsibility in the same organization. Should i uptate it by following their mentioned link? or keep silent as my organization is still same?

Another thing as my applied noc is no longer valid for my new role will it hamper my VISA processing anyway?
If its just the role/team change, within the same company, i dont see a reason to make such efforts. My suggestion, let it flow through :)

Congratulations as well, please update SS

Hi,

After looking at today discussions, i realized i have made a mistake. In form IMM 5406 i have provided details of mine and my wife and have not included details of my mother, father and brother. Do you think it can be a problem? Would you guys recommend me sending updated form with all details to CIC?

Also, in future if i want to sponsor my familty then there details are mandatory to be part of the IMM 5406 or it has no significance.

Please suggest i am really worried

Regards

Hello everyone.

i'll be glad if you guys could help me with this: I'm a May 22th applicant, PER recived on September 12th.

I'd like to start getting my Police Certificates, however the CIC page states that i must not apply for the PCC until i obtain a file number from the visa office, and that the visa office will provide me with instructions on how to get it.

Info taken from CIC Page:

How to obtain a police certificate - Colombia
Do I need to provide a police certificate when applying for permanent residence?
Yes, you need to provide a background verifications certificate. However, do not apply for the background verifications certificate
before obtaining a file number from the visa office.

How or where do I obtain one?

If you live in Colombia (both nationals and non-nationals)
Once you have submitted an application to the visa office, the visa office processing your case will provide instructions to you on
how to obtain the background verifications certificate.

If you live outside Colombia
The easiest way to obtain a background verifications certificate from outside Colombia is to ask a person living in Colombia to request the
certificate on your behalf, following the instructions sent to you by the visa office.

You can also request the certificate yourself by following these instructions:

You must pay a processing fee of the equivalent of COP$60.000 at the current exchange rate per person, to be deposited to:

** Some Bank Info **

You will receive a deposit slip as proof of payment. There should be one deposit slip per person.
Once you have made the deposit, you must send a scanned copy of the deposit slip to: aplicantes@procesosec.com
You must also submit the following information to the bank:

For Colombian nationals:
the applicant’s full name, National Identity Card Number (Cédula de Ciudadanía), visa file number, and the name of the visa office that is
processing the application.

What do you guys suggest? Please share any opinion.

Yes, it is important to cover the families of both you and spouse as it becomes a part of family tree for future.

My suggestion would be, go ahead and send another form filled properly and make a cover letter along mentioning your NOC, Date of Delivery, Tracking Number for package, Time Stamp with who receieved it and your complete details like NAME, DOB, EMAIL etc so they can replace the new forms :)

Best of luck, there is no harm in sending again :)

I am not sure about your second question, but about your first I think it is OK. You are technically an employee of the contracting company, so if they can certify your job duties etc, it should be OK.

By the way, who is going to be the one in the contracting company providing you with the letter? At least get that persons name and number on the letter itself.

URGENT:

Does anyone know how flexible the Visa Offices are when they ask for your Police Certificate? At the end of August, the FBI police certificate was taking 22 days (according to their website). It seems now that they updated their IT system and it is now taking 8 to 10 weeks. Would be visa office be flexible? If it takes more than 8 weeks, it's the end of my application :-[

Please please let me know

Hi Seniors, @ Oscar, Century, Ashif..
First of all thank you very much everyone for contributing to this lovely forum. With the kind of information that flows here, sooner or later all consultants will have to shut their shops :)
I have come across a very interesting question by one of my friend (not part of this forum so far)
He had taken IELTS and was not eligible because he scored 5.5 in writing. He took IELTS again, this time he scored 6.5 in writing but 5.5 in lisening.
Is there any chance that he can use both his results to apply ? I did not find any relevant positive or negative info on CIC. Kindly give your opinion.
Thanks.
No he can't. The score should be on one attempt ( single sheet) which shows minimum 6 band in all 4 modules
