Hello senior members!

Just one quick question regarding police certificates ...

In my case I have to submit police certificates from my country and Spain, but when I sent my application (August 22), I only sent the certificate from my country, since I din't want to waste time. According to CIC, it's fine if one doesn't submit police certificates with the application, but one must be ready to submit them in case the VO request them.

Now I'm preparing to request the one from Spain. When I called they mentioned that if the certificate was to take effect in Canada, I should legalize it too, which takes another process... My question is, is it really necessary to legalize the police certificates? In CIC's website, they don't mention this.

Please advice.

If you are unable to obtain all the necessary police certificates, you may still send your application to the CIO without them. However, please note that if your application is placed into processing you must be ready to submit them to the visa office when requested.

Note: If you are including your police certificates with your application to the CIO, please ensure that your certificates were not issued more than three months earlier. Police certificates are generally valid for 12 months from the date they are issued. However, if a final decision is not made on your application before the expiry of your police certificate, the visa office may request that you provide a new one."

I don't think it is necessary to legalise the PCC anywhere in the world as long as it is issued by a competant authority..

However, honestly, not really aware of the processes in Spain.

Someone from Spain, kindly help resolve this !!!

Like Century mentioned, this point is not an issue if you don't work in a regulated profession like a doctor. You can find examples if you do some search of your own (in the spreadsheet, previous posts in this thread etc).

Im 28th may applicant noc 4011,
VO london.

I want to share one important matter so that other's can benefit from my experience.
I forgot to send english translation for my kid's BC,
my spouse's BC,
and CNIC english translation in the application package i recieved by CIC

thanx to @ NEEL-HERE, THANK U SOO MUCH BUDDY,
he suggested me to send additional documents as a linking package, which i did and they were received by cic on 28th june.

i think it worked but im still worried because in SS i see people with cc charged and PER not recieved.
SO lets see.

ANd @ ashif and @ century u didnt reply to my PM's ????????

I have one more questions regarding photos. I have read that first we have to put barcode pages then document checklist. so do we have to attach photos with barcode pages of general application form or with document checklist ?

Following is the description of transaction on my credit card account online:

I called BofA and confirmed. They said that this transaction has been approved.

Thank God and thanks to the experts on this forum that my amount got deducted even though the original CC was blocked. Payment has been charged against my new CC.

Being a 28 May applicant, I was not expecting any action before next week but thankfully got the good news today!!!! HAPPY WEEKEND..PARTY TIME!!

Will update the spreadsheet soon.
