CC charged: 26th Aug
NOC: 2174

Next Update .....? I have seen other friends already got responses.

I would like to know whats does this mean...need to wait for few more days / weeks ??

How the process works ? will the next thing be PER / Rejection Email Or could be other possibilities.

There could be many reasons - one i could think of is different officers assigned to different files - may also be NOC related to ensure reference letters/employment docs pass completeness check.

Ofcourse, there could also be reasons that relate to negative result, but then nobody can be sure of this either. So, since someone has waited for so long, a little bit of more patience would help. And if somebody wants to send an enquiry in the meantime, they can do that as well.

What could be the possible reasons?? to get a negative result. My Application doesnt have any issues...
ITELS with valid rates and times. WES is with perfect time and validty.
All are notarised copies -with signatures in it.
I doubt would there be an issue with Reference letters - but those were reviewed and accepted by my consultant. Not sure of the issue

Should've got the PER mail by now. Did you fill in your email address in the application ? If yes, checked spam folder and everything ?

Wait is all you can do at this point I suppose.

My previous employment is for 1 year only.
My current employment is for 1 year and 4 months now.

And I need to claim overall work experience points for atleast 2 years to qualify.

So I need to claim points for my current work also.
WILL I NEED REFERENCE LETTER IN THIS CASE.?

Of course. YOu will need to provide all the supporting documents for work experience you want to claim points for.

Guys, I am trying to contact CIC on phone but having some kind of problem. I am following the below listed steps mentioned in this forum sometime back, but I am unable to get through Step highlighted in bold below.

I will dial the number and then select 1 for English. And later I need to select 1 for Immigration but the IVR is not taking my input, I repeatedly get the message ' You have not selected any option' I am not sure if the IVR is faulty or if it is my phone. Has anyone faced the same issue before? and if yes is there any solution? Thanks for your help.


Ø Procedure to get CIC agent on phone
ü Call at – 0016139444000
ü Select 1 for English
ü Then 1 for foreign affair
ü 2 for immigration
ü Call is being transferred to CIC
ü Then 1 for English
ü 2 for status
ü 1 for PR
ü When it asks you to enter UCI number just be on hold n let it say it 3 times then the call is automatically transferred to an agent
ü Agent will ask information about last name, first name, date of birth, application received date, email id etc.

my frnd is 15 may applicant n got his PER yesterday.

Anyone here who got PCC from Mumbai? Please outline the process.
I find two compeltely different processes and forms to get PCC done.

Path 1: Through Passport Office

Path 2: Mumbai Police website
https://www.mumbaipolicegeneralunit.maharashtra.gov.in/ccssb1/Home.aspx

The forms are widely different, in fact the police website form requires a letter proof from canada embassy,
besides details of where you lived in the past couple of years.

Both processes are completely allowed. PCC can be obtained from Mumbai Police or from Passport office (Passport seva kendra or PSK) in India. (other than Punjab)

I am from Mumbai and took my PCC from Passport office (PSK). This didnt take more than 2 hrs. All they require is your original passport and address proof. Nothing else. Fairly simple process.

You need to first fix an appointment on the passport website

Do as directed as you can fix the appointment by paying Rs 500 charges online.

then where is the problem

If it is with the DD's - then I was told that CIC will send a mail stating that the DD has not been encashed and to send a new DD.

But we dint even got that info from CIC.

I am very much worried.

But I understand that the problem with DD is that most of the banks won't confirm when it is charged and most DD applicants get their PER before their bank confirm the DD is encased, isn't that right?

That's when contacts help bro. Networking is very important.
