Your parents need to get you a affidavit confirming you are their son and you will have to use your 10th certificate for DOB while you do all this, please mention the reason for not submitting DOB in your cover letter and the above things you have incorporated in the package.

:) hope that helps and best of luck

[size=10pt]You can use matriculation certificate if your DOB and your Parent name is mentioned on it, along with this an affidavit stating the reason for not having birth certficate and also stating that u are providing your SSC/Matriculation certificate in lieu of birth certificate.

Also you apply for the birth certificate in your MC office if you are from India.

Good Luck

Just out of curiosity, was there something "special" about your application? Like something that you didn't have exactly as CIC asked for?

Hi Seniors!!

I am in a very very stressful situation.

Proof of settlement fund is in a joint account with my wife.I just realised that the bank account has my wife's name with her married surname in the joint account holder's name. All her other documents are in her maiden surname as she does not wish to change her surname post marriage.

So now all docs we are submitting are in her pre marriage surname but just the POF document is in her married surname. Do we require to submit an affidavit? Wht do we write in the affidavit as this is not a change of name, just a case of one document with her married surname that we had to do as the idiot bank manager insited that the acc has to have her married surname. Please help, I wanted to send my docs out this week :(

When we say mention soemthing on cover letter , what does cover letter means , which document it is ?? :o :o :o :o :o

Good evening all,

I would like to apply for immigration to Canada as a skilled worker. However, I have a few questions that need to be answered before I can officially work on my application:
1- My name in my old passport was spelt as Sara Abdul Manam Alhaj. It was spelt the same way on my BA degree, which I obtained in 2009. However, upon the renewal of my passport in 2010, I requested the Consulate General of Syria in Dubai to have my name spelt as Sarah Abdul Munem Al Haj in the new passport. Hence, my name in my current passport is different from my name on my BA degree, for which I am required to obtain an ECA report. Is it a problem that the spelling of my name on my degree, transcript and ECA report is different from that in my passport, national ID and other documents? If it is a problem, what am I supposed to do to solve it?
2- Regarding the national ID that we have to provide a copy of, is it the same national ID issued by the Emirates Identity Authority?
3- I was married in Feb and divorced in Aug, do I have to include both the marriage and divorce certificates in my application?
4- I studied English Language and Translation at Ajman University, am I still required to sit for an IELTS test?
5- About my travels, there were times when I traveled to a certain city in a country but visited other cities for a day or two. Am I supposed to include the names of all the cities I visited? If yes, can I write them all in the same slot?
6- What is the number of Al Taawun Street in Sharjah?
7- Are postal codes used here in the UAE?
8- Can I provide a copy of my Individual Civil Registry Record instead of my birth certificate? I cannot obtain a birth certificate due to the current situation in my city of birth, which has fallen under the control of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.
9- What are the documents that I need to provide the original copies of?

These are my questions so far and I would really appreciate your help!

Hi Guyz,

I received my MR from NDVO today and they asked me to submit all the documents within 45 days. I am 7th May applicant.

Question:

I sent my FBI finger print request and it reached on 22nd July. My CC was charged on 22nd Aug. I havent received the report yet. How long does it take for the FBI request now-a-days?

I dont wanna take any chance and so I am gonna send another FBI request tomorrow. If I dont receive FBI clearance letter in another 45 days, Can I state the reason to NDVO to buy some more time ??? Plz adv

Thanks,
Nandha

[size=10pt]Congrats Nandha...I guess they would have send it but seems you did not receive it as it is coming from normal post... If you would like to know if they have sent it or not you can call at this number...304-625-5590.. They will ask your details such as delivered date, your DOB, address and will tell the exact status...If it has been sent then they will let you know the status or if not then they will tell what date they are processing right now... There also it is first come first serve... If they are processing prior to the application received before 22nd July then you have good chance to get the address changed for this application only... Go to FAQ of FBI website to know the process of getting the address changed...They will let you know the date they are processing too...

Good Luck... Try to call right now as their office time has started.....
