That was a creative idea - it sure will help. Good that you put that in. My take is you will also get points for your current employment with all the stuff you did in the file. I wouldn't worry if I was you. Trust me!!! :)

I am not sure of CIC per say, but my guess is VOs at the later stage might be anyway checking Linked-In profile of both the applicant and the referee for most of the cases, so it was good you made use of that right upfront. If one doesn't have a Linked-In profile they sure won't penalize though....but might check to ascertain genuineness of the case

I trust your gut man.

The worrying will be there until the day comes - but I guess I have to ignore it to keep going with life.

Have also other important/pressing things to do like preparations for my daughter's upcoming 7th birthday party and office work
and kids school...

I hope CIC will consider my presented supporting documents as they have considered other documents like 3rd-party affidavit
which I don't think I have read anywhere in their guidelines as accepted except for self-employed individuals...

why london visa office is so slow :'(
Because London processes a large portion of Europe and some of Asian countries so they have a high volume of applications compared to NDVO

Got the Medical Request and RPRF request yesterday. I am so excited. But I need some guidance folks.
My Daughter's passport is expiring in May 2015. My attorney says that the passport should be minimum 1 year valid at the time of Medical exam. I am currently in USA and to renew my daughter's passport from the New York Jurisdiction might take anywhere from 3 to 7 weeks. I have to get the PCC from USA and India done as well as my attorney says I have to get all this done in 60 days from now....

I am a bit worried and tensed. Help needed guys!!!!!

One Important note for all those who are striving for Reference letters from their current / previous employers. I want to tell you all that I was NOT ABLE to provide the reference letters in the format which is requested, Also, infact, I was unable to provide any reference letter on the letter head and with the manager's sign. All I did was I had submitted the Petition copy of my visa where all the things like the salary, designation and my job duties were mentioned clearly. I guess that I am thru. Atleast strongly hoping for that as I have received the medical request already!!!

If I get married after getting PER,
1. What documents will I need to acquire so I can add my wife/spouse to my pending application?
2. When do I need to notify the VO of my marriage and send them updated documents?
3. Do I need to update my current documents such that it will show my marital status to MARRIED?

hi friends,
My situation is also similar to DreamofCanada.. My son's passport expires in June 2015..I hoping to receive MR, RPRF and PP request by end of November. Which leaves only 7 months validity for my son's passport. Does the passport have to be valid for minimum of 1 year for getting PR stamp?
thanks in advance for your input.

Guys where to write name in native language on additional family form. I mean write English and Arabic names together??

Thanks

Stay blessed
After writing your name in English, press Enter and you'll get a new line, write your name in Arabic on that one.

I believe:
1- Ask VO through case specific enquiry on the exact set of documents (this you can do before marriage)
2- Post marriage, when you have all the documents ready, send them
3- Likely yes, but VO should tell you this when you do item #1
thank you Oscar7 for your quick reply.
May I know if there are applicants in this forum with the same case?

Congratulations Dream of Canada !!! I wish you could update the spreadsheet.
It's good that you have to do the medical first, before providing the Passports. So if you want to apply for your daughters passport, I recommend delaying going for the Medical a bit. If you have 60 days, go after 40 days. That should buy you about 7 weeks by the time they actually request the passports.

Is there a requirement of passport validity for one year, as the guy's attorney is saying?
In my humble opinion (though I cannot find references) you basically/normally get the visa valid for a year from the date you do your medicals. However they also have a rule visa cannot be vaild for 3 months before the expiration of the passport. So if you don't have a lot of time left on your passport, the time for your visa is reduced which is not good. However if it is less than 3 or 6 months, they would not issue the visa at all.

By the way for those who have US passports, the goverment says not to travel with less than 3 months left http://travel.state.gov/content/passports/english/go/schengen-fact-sheet.html hence the 3 month rule above.

Kumar2k1 Normally your landing visa would be 1 year from medicals. However if your son's passport is only up to June 2015, you may get a visa valid only upto March.
While I think this varies by visa office krb posted his Passport Request letter http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/fsw-2014-applicants-timeline-lets-network-here-t199004.67005.html This seems to say that they want passports to be at least 6 months beyond the visa valdity date.
