my CC is been charged on 26 August
I send my application on may 16th

I left my job on July 22nd. i have also moved to a new address.
i want to know how to communicate the my change of job and the new address to the immigration department
will this change effect my PER chances

Hi, I notice that you are a 2173 and had fee charged already. Now can you share about the ECA evaluation result in your case - was it from a recognized institute and what did it say equivalent to in that report (though I notice the below from CIC)?

What have you studied - is it like a 3 year course post 10th standard, or a 3 year course post 12th standard? And did you give the exam and get a final diploma post that 3 year course? Thanks!

PS - I fear the below is probably not trying to say that you don't meet equivalency to a 4-year Canadian bachelor's degree program and hence not qualified for this - hopefully not, as I would assume that would mean a red flag for a lot of diploma holders. So I am not sure but only checking with you as to what you studied and what exactly your WES stated. Please share specific details.

Guys need URGENT help!!!

Today I got this devastating email from CIC. Any idea how to interpret the highlighted part.

Subsection 75(2) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations states that a foreign national is a skilled worker if:

a) within the 10 years preceding the date of their application for a permanent resident visa, they have at least one year of continuous full-time (30 hours/week) employment experience, as described in subsection 73(1), or the equivalent in continuous part-time employment in the occupation identified in their application as their primary occupation, other than a restricted occupation, that are listed in Skill Type 0 or Skill Level A or B of the National Occupational Classification matrix;

b) during that period of employment they performed the actions described in the lead statement for the occupation as set out in the occupational descriptions of the National Occupational Classification;

c) during that period of employment they performed a substantial number of the main duties of the occupation as set out in the occupational descriptions of the National Occupational Classification, including all of the essential duties;

d) they submitted the results of an English or French language test issued by a designated testing agency indicating that they met or exceeded the applicable language proficiency threshold set by the Minister for each of the four language skill areas; and

e) they submitted their completed Canadian educational credential or their completed foreign educational credential and the equivalency assessment from a designated organization of institution that is less than five years old on the date of application.


I am not satisfied that you meet the minimal requirements pursuant to R75 (2), specifically part e) of the above requirements because you have not submitted evidence of completion of a Canadian secondary educational credential (or its equivalent), in accordance with R75(2)(e) and R75(8 ) of IRPA. The World Education Services (WES) Credential Evaluation and Authentication Report (change as appropriate) provided indicate the Canadian Equivalency Summary as Three years of undergraduate study. This equivalency assessment does not demonstrate that you have completed the equivalent of a Canadian secondary educational credential.

Like other members have already stated, the problem is that your credential as assessed by WES is not a COMPLETED credential. So in my opinion, there are two things you can do (unfortunately, neither will help you immediately). One is that you get your secondary credential assessed and apply with that (given that it is assessed as equivalent to a completed canadian secondary credential). But this will only give you 9 points for education, which might not be enough for you to qualify. Another option is that you study some more (like complete post-secondary diploma, or graduate studies) and then apply. Although this won't help you immediately, it will help you in the future. But for now, there is nothing you can do to change the situation.

hey..i got an email from CIC..stating you will receive medical request in a separate email within 48 hours.
checked my ECAS.. still states IN PROCESS..
guess they are taking longer to update their system..

CC got charged on July 23

is it 10th Standard or is it 12th Standard?

12th grade is equivalent to secondary education. Anything beyond that is post-secondary.

Issue is the below:

In my case (as an example) :

Canadian Equivalency: Bachelor's Degree (Four year)

So this means u have no degree completion currently....U r on three yr undergrad study....

which is the root cause of this rejection....

Unfortunately then it seems my fear is true - guys feel free to correct me on this though.

Seems he is being penalized for not having a 4 year bachelor's degree that is equivalent to a Canadian bachelor's degree, is it? Now that would mean a RED FLAG for all diploma holders in that case, wouldn't it?

BTW, how many years of work experience do you have - I think I saw 10+ in SS. Is that right? Sorry to hear this news mate!!!

Right namaste...This is unfair....Even we cant be assured when they place which equivalency....

And CIC also need to clear on which perspective/ word containers on their ECA can apply and which word containers can not.....
