Hello dear all

I am reading the guide and now I see that one of the forms (Statutory Declaration of Common-Law Union (IMM 5409)) must be filled in by the sponsor and common-law partner, only if the latter is a co-signer on the application.

Who is the sponsor? Is it the main applicant? Who is the co-signer? In what case a common-law is a co-signer?

Any help is very appreciated ???

Hi, folks.
My application was received by CIC on 5/13, but my CC has not been charged yet.
I see that apps received on 5/15 are now being charged, and I wonder if this is nothing unusual or is it a bad sign?
It seems there is no way to find out what is going on with my app, so I guess I should just patiently wait.

Yes, the main applicant is the sponsor. Common-law partner is the co-signer. If they are accompanying the applicant. You are not on the SS?

[size=9pt] The answer was provided twice (with relevant links and data) before and even then the person was asking the same question again and again. It needs to be told clearly at that time that in cases of immigration patience needs to be exercised. As simple as that. :-*

What is the expected processing time after PCC/MR ? I have received both and I am working on the docs. I want to know how long it take to get Visa Stamp after sending these docs.

Hi Fellas,

I am from India and I am currently in the process of getting my documents in order.
The application documents would consist of originals(e.g. IELTS score) and photocopies of the documents(pretty much everything else).

Kindly let me know whether I need to get these photocopies attested/notarized?
I have checked the CIC website and I could not specifically find any requirement for notarized documents.

I have asked my friends in person too. Some of their agents say that it is necessary to get the photocopies notarized, some say it is not.
Please let me know if their is a stringent requirement from the CIC that we get the photocopies we submit notarized before we submit them.

Also, my uncle in Canada is going to send photocopies of his Citizenship documents, etc. to include in my application. Does he need to get those photocopies notoarized too
before sending them to me?
