Hello Folks!!!

I have landed Edmonton,Canada....GOT my SIN,Health Card, and GDL ...Everything is fine but banking sucks!!!

I wanted to share my experience about banking in Canada...Please never open Scotia Bank Account from anywhere....they are big Cheater in all terms...

First I got confirmation Letter for remittance and once i made my remittance then the money revert back to my Indian Account- Due to negligence of Scotia Bank...

Secondly they have very limited ABM around the whole city...you will have to cross miles to get ABM...and if u use any other ABM then they will deduct 2 CAD per transaction...

Its my personal opinion and observation....Please avoid such banking...

With Regards,

Thanks for the update.

Please see CIC document Proof of funds - Federal skilled workers.According to CIC these funds could be in the form of:

cash
documents that show property or capital payable to you (such as stocks, bonds, debentures, treasury bills, etc.) or
documents that guarantee payment of a set amount of money, which are payable to you (such as bankers' drafts, cheques, travellers' cheques or money orders).

I am showing Rs. 70000 in cash and Rs. 1744000 in stocks i.e. CAD 32538.
CIC document has clearly stated these funds could be in the form of stocks. Now whom should I follow. Could someone with this knowledge help clarifying this.

i showed 1225000 fd and valuation for plot in my name at rs 1090000 but i mentioned only 21900 Cad

any comments ?

Dear all,
Can anyone help me with following questions plz
what is written in a PCC?
If a legal case such as - involved in credit card dispute is going on applicant, will it be mentioned in PCC ,..more so.. will there be any issue in PCC in such cases?
Is there any role of ITR in whole PR process?

Thanks...

Morning guys,
Is it mandatory to take photocopies on all pages of passport and get them notary attested ?

For reference letters is it mandatory to have the business card of the colleague ?

Spouse has not given IELTS, in the generic form there is a question for english profeciency for spouse. Should the answer be no ?

Please help me with the above questions.

Regards,
Keerthi.

Notarization not required
Business card of the colleague is'nt a mandatory requirement asper CIC, but any additional info is a plus.
Answer should be no as you do not have the test result for your spouse.

Well, Shushma, same happened with me also, Firstflight picked up documents from my place on 4th Aug, and delivered on 11th Aug. DHL was involved as an sub agent and god knows who else were involved till the delivery of the shipment. I'm also unaware who received my shipment on 11th Aug 13:43.

Hope for the best! And hope it must be with the right hands.

Hi ,
I also used Dhl send my application on 16/06 and was delivered on 25/06 same thing they dont print reciever name on delivery receipt .
But I caught up with customer care and they gave me details regarding recievers name ,time etc
U can also do that
cheerssssss

For the sending application; I sent my application through DTDC (Bangalore, India) on 20th June and reached at SYDNEY 24th June. It was received by person name 'MACRURY'. Is it common person from CIC who receives the application for all applicants who sent the application.
Also initially i was afraid which Sydney location they sent, later contacting DTDC confirmed it was in CANADA not in Australia. :D

PCC issuances are not affected by Credit card disputes. Credit card disputes will be seen only in CIBIL reports which are not considered in this case. PCC is issued to anyone having a clean criminal record with the police dept and passport office.

[size=9pt] Hi Mate, PCC says that we have done a background check and checked with local police station and no record is found etc etc

Only police cases / criminal cases will be noted. I have a long list on mine (kidding)

ITR is not involved / not mandatory to give.
