Dear Rohan,
It pains me to hear about your misfortune, but having worked in a government environment I can confirm that the ACTUAL receipt date is the day when the document is assigned a number and the relevant information is entered into the database. As far as I understand CIO people collect application packages from couriers and store them until an officer becomes available to OPEN the package, check if your application is complete and then process the fee. It is the time the application receives a number and is hence registered. So I afraid it would be a hard time arguing with their decision.

Hi Everyone... I am filling Background Declaration form.. In my passport, I have my Fathers Name as 'Vijay Kumar' but my father in his own passport have 'Vijay Kumar Ghai'.
What should I fill in for my own form?

CONFUSED, PLZ help me out!! :o

Use the spelling that is found in the certificate of birth.

No(para from EG 7000) Date received in ecas = signed date from courier

Keep a copy of your language proficiency test results for your records and future use. You may use these results in the future if you choose to submit another application as long as they are not more than two years old at the time your application is received. You may also use these test results as evidence of your language proficiency if your application is successful and you later decide to apply for citizenship.

Congratulation brother. +1 for updating.

You are probably addressing the wrong person here. It was Rohan who had this IELTS issue, and since his TRF is expired, he will have to retake the test.

Use the spelling given in your passport.

At the background declaration form, provide the other name against your father's name.

What is the application date?

Dear Guys,

Newbie here..Need some serious inputs in getting my Educational Credentials assessed

1. Which would be the best org to assess. I guess WES will be just fine?
2. I am having a Post Graduate diploma in Business Management from a college called Wigan & Leigh College, Bangalore. This College is a branch of the original college from United Kingdom. My PG certificate is issued by British Council. But I cannot see the name of my college in the list of Autonomous universities/colleges. :-X Besides, I dont have mark sheets, instead they are all grade sheets. How to make sure that the documents submitted wont be in bounced back?

3. Should I submit my PG, Graduation, Plus two and 10th standard? Or just the PG and Graduation will do?
4. My name is "Mohamed Ishak VP" in 10th, Plus two as well as graduation. But in PG, its Mohammed Ishak VP :o. one M is more..Is this gonna be a problem? How can it be addressed?

Thanks
Ishak

Then could you explain the fact that this information is not entered into ECAS at the receipt date?

https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/redir.do?redir=app_perm_wrkr&lang=en&app=ecas

Online ECAS is update only after charging.

Application received as per ECAS meant Application Received+completeness checking done+file been created+information from the application form was entered.

Hi guys!

Congarts to all received PER! :)

I have very important question. Seems like I have some experience in one of the 50 eligible occupations, but some of my experience is during my maternity leave and if I exclude it I won't be able to gather 12 months of continuous work experience. My maternity leave is paid and according to the law in my country it is a valid work experience, but....will it count for the immigration procedure? My employer did not mentioned my maternity leave in the reference letter, is this a problem?

And...something else. The company where I had my precious experience is in process of liquidation and I'm not sure if the company will exist few months ahead when eventually my case will be reviewed.

What would you advise me? Should I even send my documents?

Thank you very much for the replies in advance! Every piece of information is much appreciated!!
