Re: FSW 2014 Applicants - High School Certificates not sent to CIC

Hi,
I have read numerous posts where many people have mentioned attaching secondary and senior secondary certificates with their application. Is it a must? I have sent only my bachelors and master degree and transcript to CIC. Thanks.

What kind payment method u used? CC or DD

If you are't in Spreadsheet, please give an entry so it will help others..

I have applied through an attorney and so I had paid him the fees by CC. I have no idea how he paid the fees on my behalf. I think it's by DD. Not so sure. I, being very new to this forum haven't updated anything in the spreadsheet. But would do it now. Thanks so much for the information... Please stay connected... :)

Hey Thanks so much for your prompt reply. Does this mean that my application is eligible for processing further? Actually I have applied through an attorney and when I asked them, they say they haven't heard anything from CIC yet. I had the UCI number as last year my application was returned as the cap was already reached. And after reading your forum, I came to know the way to track my application. Does the medical request happens after receiving the PER email? I do not have any communication documents with me. I am only waiting for my attorney to reply me about the news. So I am kinda stuck... But very curious to know about my status after going through your forum.... You guys are doing an awesome job... keep it up folks... ;)

Yes bro,

It seems -ur application is eligible for processing further....

Currently 6th May applicants are getting PER...So wait for ur turn...:)

And Yes after getting PER ur file will be transferred to local VO and then Medical.....

Good luck

Hello !

I need to give all the applicants some information which might be helpful to many.

I received PER mail on the 3rd July, and even after a week or so, I could not access e-CAS, it always showed the message that the information provided may be incorrect and there are no records matching the data.

I called cic, and they asked me to send an email to "question @ cic.gc.ca". Additionally, the agent gave a very nice idea, he asked me to write "Follow up required" in the subject to get the response in a day or two otherwise the response will be given in 30 days.

Let me paste the mail that the cic agent had sent to me.

================================================================================================================

Sir, Madam,

Thank you for contacting Citizenship and Immigration Canada. I am pleased to follow up on your request:

Technical Problems with Online Tools or Enquiries Related to the Come to Canada Wizard

2. Given name(s) - Exactly as it appears on the passport or identity document
3. Date of birth (YYYY-MM-DD)
4. Country of birth
5. (If available) Universal Client Identifier/Client ID Number
6. (If available) Application number
7. Your current status in Canada
8. The expiration date of that status
9. Complete address (including the postal code). If the residential address is different from the mailing address, please provide both addresses.
10. Telephone number. If you have more than one contact number, please provide them all.
11. Type of application (work permit, study permit, visitor record, etc.)
12. (If applicable) Date the application was submitted
13. Information you are looking for and nature of the problem
14.Information requested under A, B or C, depending on your situation:

• All your answers to the online questionnaire; to do that: ◦ select the Modify my Answers button located at the top of the online questionnaire. Once you are redirected to the page entitled Find Out if You're Eligible to Apply, you can:
◾ provide us with screen shots; or
◾copy and paste the text.

B)

C)

◦ error message(s) you received; and

• Specify the date and time when the problem occurred.

You can expect a response within one (1) business day following reception of the above information.

================================================================================================================

After I sent them the email in above format, I received a response in one day.
In fact the response was a little bizarre.

I was asked to enter my full name in the "Surname/Last Name" field instead of my last name.
And I could see my ecas status.

P.S. All those who have received PER mail and are unable to view the status, may try entering full name (first name + middle name + last name)

All the best to everyone.

Rgds,

How to Get USA PCC

As lots of forum members finding difficulties to get USA PCC. So, i decided to add details that will help forum members/.

Started off by calling a few Fingerprint agents. They all quoted 4-5k (including Courier charges) for doing fingerprints for me and my wife. Since it seemed exorbitant, I decided to explore other options.

This is what i have done.

STEP 1
Download and Print the FD 258 form
(try to get 3-4 copies)
(As per the, Character requirements document for the United states,
Provide:
a covering letter if required,
a set of both rolled/inked and plain fingerprint impressions placed on a
standard paper fingerprint card,
satisfactory proof of identity,
consisting of full name,
date and place of birth,
postal address for return of results.

STEP 2
Go to the local police station and get my finger prints done
(Pay/Bribe then whatever to get this done quickly.)

Step 3: Submit payment.

Option 1: Pay by credit card using the Credit Card Payment Form. Don’t forget to include the expiration date of the credit card that you are using.
Option 2: Obtain a money order or certified check for $18 U.S. dollars made payable to the Treasury of the United States. Please be sure to sign where required.

Step 4:

Review the Identity History Summary Request Checklist to ensure that you have included everything needed to process your request.

STEP 5
Courier the FD 258 form to the following address,
FBI CJIS Division – Record Request,
1000 Custer Hollow Road Clarksburg,
WV 26306

Thank You

The Consulate does not offer fingerprinting services. Private citizens requesting fingerprints can check with the State Crime Records Bureau, Tamilnadu Police:

State Crime Records Bureau(SCRB)

You will need to bring your own fingerprinting form or card along with a government issued identity document. The form that is normally recognized is FBI form FD-258. A printable PDF version of this card is available here. Upon arrival at SCRB for fingerprinting service, you will be issued an invoice for payment of fees of Rs. 50 at State Bank of India, Thousand Light branch, Chennai. You should produce the receipt of payment for the fingerprinting to be done.

More general information on criminal background checks and fingerprinting is available here:
