visa debit....totally unacceptable.its has to be crdit card or dd
How do you know that, do you have some personal experience or has documentary evidence. It has already proven in this blog that Debit card can be used. Don't misguide people and if possible be active in current posts, not in half day old posts.

Dear Brother

Iam not talking about Travels

Iam trying to fill Schedule - A - Serial Number 12 - Address

Plz suggest

Seniors & Admin

I have another doubt

Schedule - Address

Presently Iam working in Dubai and

I have visited my home in India for 2 months every year for the past 5 years

Shall I mention each visits time and place where I used to live

and

In Dubai , I have changed my house one time . do I need to mention that also

plz reply

thanks

Brother,

I guess u r talking abt "Your Travels" form....

On the top of the form it is menitioned " Other Than ur home country or country of residence" .

So u need not to mention this visits bet India and Emirates.....

And for the address change- write those on the Sch A form...Thats it ......Smiley

Each time you visit home even if it is for 2 months I wouldn't say that's an address. An address is where you are based. The address you list for bills, work, bank accounts etc in the country where you live and work.

Nishesh - thanks for the very useful response! I know that LVO has been slow in the past. Does that remain the case this year too? Any way to quantify how much slower LVO is?

You have to go through the LVO Timeline in the forum. You will get a much clearer picture there.

Dear All,

My name is Kiran and I am applying for FSWP-2014 under Human Resource Managers. I have all the documents ready except my Marriage certificate.
So, I have a query that whether Marriage Certificate given by Sikh Temple is acceptable by Canadian government? I have following documents as proof of my marriage

a) My husbands name embossed on my passport
b) Marriage Certificate given by Sikh Temple
c) Affidavit on Stamp paper that I and my husband are married since 27th Nov. 2011. This affidavit is signed by me and my husband

Regards
Kiran

Were you issued a marriage certificate by any governmental authority? If so that is the one you should use. If not, you can supply the above documents but I would add an explanation that you have no marriage certificate from a governmental authority. I don't know how the law works in your country, but CIC wants to see a legal document, not a religious one.

I expected a BIG change
However my expectations were similar to the result because I did not see any movement in spreadsheet.

What is stated in CIC is slightly confusing but my take is also same as that of Future's on this one. One needs to list all international travel details, irrespective of where they are at. If one is in country of origin then that becomes the base else wherever they are living now is the base for the travel, this is all they mean. And as rightly said, there is no harm in sharing details of all international travel anyways.

It says there "list all trips you, and if applicable, your family members have taken outside your country of origin or of residence in the last ten years (or since 18th birthday if this was less then ten years ago)."

No offense but I don't agree with what you are saying. Its is not harmful to mention it on Travel form but it better not to as CIC has specifically mentioned it. I am in Canada right now, and my home country is India. So I don't have to mention any travels made between those two countries because my country of residence is Canada and country of origin is India. There must be some reason that CIC has specifically asked not to mention travel between those two countries (p.s. one reason might be they can check in that record when did you leave that country and when you came back as your application will be transferred & processed at local VO). Did you ever think that you might not be helping them by doing what they specifically mentioned not to do. :)

Very correct and let's not forget that CIC is still battling with backlog from FSW 2011 and 2013. SO you have CIO dealing with FSW applications for 3 years all at the same time. Crazy situation... ::)

CIC website has already updated fsw number of applicants as of 7-14-2014
It seems that they are working too slowly and those figures are related to only the first ten days of May:
