Any name that is different from your passport, put those into Generic Form, section of Personal Details of question 2. I dumped every other name(s) there.

That brings a question in my mind my for exmaple if the First name abc last name xyz father first name is 123 in current passport but on education documents the comdination used was abc x 1 (only x as onlyfirst letter was used from last name and 1 cause 1st letter from father name was used)
and other combination was abc 1 x so for these name i have added a same name affidavit explaining is it enough? or do i need to mention some where in the application.

my passport has first name and last name and no problem only education documents have the above combination.

Does "National Identity Document" refer to country of citizenship or residence? My country of citizenship does not have a national ID, but my country of residence does.

Hi Prash,

This refers to your country of citizenship. However, You do not need to put a National ID number if you're not sure, since its not compulsory. It doesn't affect the application.

After 2 months of collating, printing, filling forms, cancelling forms, re-filling forms, despair, desperation, etc, all supporting documents are now collated, IELTS done, ECA report received last week (after 2 months ), Bank Draft to be drawn today. My target submission date is 4th July (NOC 1113). Fingers crossed for good luck. Let the nail biting begin!

According to the latest update from CIC, 28 NOC 2171 completed applications they have receive so far. Whereas only 5 applicants have received their PER in same NOC in our spreadsheet. Can we say the reliability rate of our spreadsheet is almost one sixth at least in NOC 2171?

Good luck. Recheck again all forms before sending to courier. You can still make it to the cap because your NOC is not Hot. Hoping for the best.

Hi, this will not be an issue as it could mean that there was a short gap between when you accepted the offer and when you resumed. It can be explained when you get to VO stage, good luck

My name in SSC certificate is "ABC XYZ kumar PQR" and in all other documents its "ABC XYZ PQR". I do not have birth certificate, what if I attach SSC certificate with name of "ABC XYZ kumar PQR" and a birth Affidavit with name of "ABC XYZ PQR". Will that be ok..? Or I need to anything else.

Go for affidavit stating that you are using both names or you have changed the name, get it attested by Sub Divisional Magistrate.

There is no harm in giving explaining letter. But I think, you should put those name(s) in other First Names and Given Names boxes.

Received date at CIO: 7-May

Reason: I did not provide a copy of completed foreign education credential to accompany the ECA. I thought that I should send only the ECA, not necessary to send the university diploma, feeling guilty for miss the word 'AND' while reading the instructions.

Could you please let us the date when it was dispatched by CIC and what courier they are using and what date you received to knwo the transit time cause i would certainly get my application returned and i would be moving out from that address thats why i am asking you these details.

Also that you need to check what all suggestion has been given by people who got through the first phase and if u you want to add do it.

I have not changed names only things is that first letter from my fathers name was used in combination with first letter from last name.

First name Peter
Last name Smith

father First name John
Last Name Smith

So the names used in educational documents are
Peter S J
Peter J S

I have the affidavit prepared for it and mentioned it all belong to one single person which is myself.
Hope that suffices.

Along with the above i want to do we need to have cover letter for POF or just the bank certificate for FD is enough.
Cant i get the POF from SBI for PPF in a standard format and attach the same.
Does declaring more amount make any difference in selection process ? ( personally i dont think so)
