It came yesterday itself, lazy consultant sent now

hey how are you getting PCC from India. I am also in the US and my CC has been charged. I was thinking to be proactive if that is going to be the new norm.

I got PER 5 hours ago. noc 2173, files received on 5/6, cc charged on 6/3. But it still shows cannot identified on ECAS with the UCI...is this normal?

What was or is your job position will not be the concern for CIC while studying your case in Canada however, the only thing that matters is your duties you had performed or performing and same has to be reflected in your reference letter. your ref. letter should minimum occupy 70% the JD contents as described in the NOC for the profession you are about to apply. So you better apply for the NOC where your experience better matches with the quoted JDs in the hrsdc website.

Call up the Indian Embassy nearest to you they will tell you the latest requirements. However, in Past, they required,
Indian Passport
Any government issued ID card (like Voter Id/Driving License) for reference to address where you have lived in India
Any documents that you can give w.r.t to your permanent address if any (like if your parents are still in India)
However, I have seen this varies from embassy to embassy and also from person to person who takes your request. so call them and find out what you need to bring

But its easier to apply for PCC from outside india than to apply within India :-X you can save the extra moolah that you have to spare to the authorities (you know who) who does the physical verification

I have a feeling that this number might reflect applications received until May 07/14 because none of the other applicants have received a response from CIO.

Again, I am just guessing. I can be wrong about this one.

Iam a 2174 applicant, My application reached on May 7th. do you think my file will be pickedup ?

One cunning thing just making me confuse over and over, the cap update page has a footnote as -'The number of complete federal skilled worker applications received as of May 4, 2013 (2014 i guess) is an estimate.' however, on the bottom of the same page, the page modification date has been quoted as 2014/06/24 and still if we go little bit up in the application in the Phd stream; there it can be found written as 'Applications received toward the overall cap: 18 of 500 (as of June 20, 2014)' so by getting into these things it can be said that the cap status is not of May 4 but of later date than June 20. Which means there still is a lot of possibilities for everyone thus, no one should worry that big, there still is a lot of room for us.

Things are turning strange.. Need an expert opinion on below matter..

After completing IELTS on 21-Jun, I am now confident about getting minimum 22 points for that.. My point calculation looks as below.

Language - 22 pts min expected, 23 points also looks possible (50% probability)
Education - 21 pts (Bachelor of Engineering from Indian university, ECA report available)
Age - 12 pts (30 yrs)
Experience - various permutations and combinations possible in getting reference letter. Pls refer below options 1-3.. (my current employment completes 2 yrs on 12-Jul.. and i want to make application by 5-Jul...) Refer below options for anticipated points from experience.

1. 11 pts if i get experience letter only from current employer (started on 12-Jul-2012)
2. 13 pts if i get only from past employer (5.5 yrs)
3. 15 pts if i get ref letter from both... (7.5 yrs)

Question - 1: Can i consider my current employment worth 2 yrs (by the time CIC review, it will be more than 2 yrs)
Question - 2: Should i apply even if i do not get ref letter from current employer..? as the points will cross 67 most probably with 13 points from first employment itself (5.5 yrs) and i will fight tooth and nail to get exp letter from first employer..
Question - 3: Should i apply if first employer does not give ref letter and current one gives..? If my second employment is considered worth 2 yrs, and if i get 23 points from IELTS (chances are fair), i still reach 67 points.

I can submit my offer letter, employment letter, annual performance review letters and salary slips etc for both employment in case i do not get ref letter. A letter on plain paper is also possible from my current boss.

This is a long and complicated query.. but very important for me to decide whether to wait for both reference letters or apply with one ..? I request thoughtful and experienced colleagues to pls go through and give your opinion.
