Hi ,

I am preparing my application and have few questions:
1.The documents for which only copies are required, do we need to attest the copies?

2. I don't have my police clearance, do i need to attach a letter in my application mentioning that
i will submit the same later?

3.If my canada visa was rejected earlier, do i need to attach the refusal letter?

4.If i worked parttime along with studies, do i need to mention part time job?

5.I joined new company in April 2014, i have the reference letter without duties. Do i need to attach that?
I am applying in NOC 2174 on basis of my previous employment till mar 2014 , total 7 years exp

6. Do i need to add photos in application as per sequence mentioned or i can atachon top of all documents?

Thanks

1. No

2. Not strictly necessary but I did, and wrote "to be provided" on the document checklist.

3. You should follow the instructions on the forms and in the guide. You need to answer the relevant question on the background declaration form, and provide full details. If you think attaching the rejection letter (or any other relevant document) would help you explain what happened, go right ahead.

4. Yes

5. The document checklist requires that you provide a letter from all employers in the past 10 years, describing duties. You should try to get a letter containing your duties from your current employer if possible. If not, explain why and provide what you can.

6. Try to package all documents in the order in which they are mentioned in the document checklist. You can put the photos in a little baggie or envelope and clip them to something. I used numbered tabs to organize my application according to the numbering on the document checklist, and I clipped my photos to tab #19.

Good luck!

I have applied last year under 2174 and application was returned due to cap reach.

They have written manually UCI on Generic Form in my returned application.

Now in couple days I will be applying again under 2172 NOC.

Do I need to include UCI they given last year, or can I just leave it blank? Is there any effect on application if I dont write the UCI number?

If I did write UCI, as I am changing my NOC from 2174 to 2172, will it affect application in anyway ?

Mention the UCI. If you dont, CIC will anyways find it themselves and put it there. I also applied in 2174 after cap reached. this yr in 2173. no probs as of now. Logically, I dont think there will be any problem because of this reason. Good luck!

If UCI is provided last time then include it in your application. Even if u dont include it wont matter as CIC will figure it out. changing NOC will not affect your applications. relevant exp that falls under that NOC is the key thing.

hello guys,

Do we need to include our resume along with application?

CIC mentioned no where to include resume, but still some have included it

How important is it to include even tho CIC havent mentioned it in required docs

Thanks for the help in advance

It's not mentioned and isn't necessary. CIC discourages applicants from sending additional documents that CIC doesn't request with applications.

@RK29824

No one can say anything for sure till CIC provides any update regarding the complete apps received

but keeping in view the overall limit, occupations and caps. Hopefully u will be able to make it. Complete your application and obtain ECA in between. In any case there is not harm in trying, u wont lose more than courier cost as other expenses will help u apply for future immigration programs.

Btw try to appear for IELTS in any other city.

Best of Luck!

Chances for NOC 2132, If applies on July 25

Hello All,

I am applying for NOC 2132- Mechanical Engineer. Unfortunately I do not have any date for IELTS before 10th July. If I give IELTS on 10th, I will get result around 23rd July. Then what are chances of success if I applies on July 25?

Seniors please guide me and give me your valuable feedback.

Guys
For Proof of residency all these below documents are rquired or any 1 or 2 of them:
Provide evidence your listed relative physically resides in Canada. This may include copies of:
• lease agreements,
• the most recent Notice of Assessment from the Canada Revenue Agency,
• an employer's letter confirming employment,
• monthly bills, etc., (one page of each bill is sufficient),
• Credit card invoices and bank statements.
Note: The evidence should show the relative's name and full address in Canada and must be less than six (6) months old from the date of your application submission

Don't need all, just need enough to show residency.

Thank you very much for your inputs.

You guys are fabulous at helping newbies.

Good luck with your applications

Nobody knows, the best people can do is estimate an educated guess. My advice is that you go for it, and gather all other required documents so that when you get your hands on the IELTS results paper, you immediately send everything. Meanwhile, keep watching the caps table (which has not yet been updated), especially your NOC.

Good luck!

If you have a UCI you should include it. It is required on the form. If you don't they will find it anyway based on your name and DOB.

Always write your UCI in all correspondence with CIC, once it is generated for the first time. That is hoe they identify you and everything that you have done in terms of applications with CIC.

Even if you do not write it for some reason, they will do it for you, i.e. they will write it for you as it is attached with your passport number. So no matter whether you skip it or not, they will always know your UCI and it will always stay unique for you - it pulls up in their records once they use your passport number. So why avoid it, better to write it urself?

Just write it.

Hope this helps...

You need to translate anything that isn't in English or French. The guide contains instructions on handling translated documents: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG7TOC.asp

as per the guide notarized translation is not enough, need to get affidavit from translator also . This is tough

Hi

I am currently on open work permit based on my wife, who is a current full time student in a college. I am working in an IT company for past 2 months and have total contract of 6 months. I have just come from india in december and had 3 years experience in the same category. I have 2 questions:

1) Can i apply under category of arranged employment or is that category just for Closed work permit/Full time working candidates?

2) On CIC website it mentions that if you are in canada & have an arranged employment or working then i need not show required funds as mentioned on cic website. Is this true?

Thanks

Hi,

I am from Bangladesh and applied under the new cap in the Marketing NOC category. My application was submitted by my lawyer 23rd May 2014. As best as I know I submitted everything that was requested, including IELTS, WES Evaluation of my US degree, processing fee, supporting documents plus all the necessary forms. Will keep you all posted and will follow your stories as well! Good luck to everyone. I know how much of yourself you dedicate to this process. My brothers and my father are already Canadian immigrants. My mother passed away when my brother sponsored her under family class. He could not sponsor me because I was over the age limit. My application was cancelled as one of the thousands in 2012. So re-trying my luck.

Category........: FSW1
Visa Office......: Sinagpore
NOC Code......: 1123
App. Filed.......: Fri 23 May 2014
Doc's Request: Sent with app
IELTS Request: Sent with app
WES Evaluation: Sent with app
