Can someone please tell me how to go for a demand draft that is valid for six months.
Also, should the need arise how DD can be canceled ( considering I do not get my application package back, but CIC returns tht)

Do you mean second week of July...and not August(guess it was a typo from you).
Yes....you should get a response between 8 to 10 weeks after your application has been received.
If after 8 weeks to 10 weeks,you didnt get any response and you can categorically confirm from the forum that applicants after you have gotten response,You can contact CIC to ask for update on your application......but know for sure that your application may have been returend (70% assurance).
Even if you contact CIC after 8-10 weeks,it will take them about 20 working days to respond to your querry and most times ,their response are always generic.....they will never tell you the true issue with your application.....they will only tell you it has been returned and than an explanation letter have been included in your package.
My advice....as much as you are sure of this application you earlier sent......have a PLAN B!.

It depends on bank...Say for example, Standard Chtrd issue DD alws with six months validity...

And for the cancellation contact with ur bank ...they will tell the simple procedure....not too complex...

Hi all,

I was filling the forms , have some questions please help.

1 . My passport has my given name as 'harshdeep singh' and surname as blank(empty). So what should i fill in family name and given name(s) fields of generic form?? both of them are mandatory fields .i can not leave family name as blank.

2. My designation in company is Systems Engineer and my noc is 2174(which doest have this job title but JobDuties match exactly).
in EDUCATION\OCCUPATION DETAILS section of generic form, what should we write in current and intented occupation? In current occupation can i write software developer or I must write Systems Engineer(my current designation). and in intented, can i write software developer or I must write exact NOC(software developer and interactive media programmer) ?

3. there r certain fields in forms where I should write NA but computer not allowing me write anything(should i write after printing forms or any other solution)

4. In economic classes form, ques 12(your work experience), NOC is 2174 but, what must be written in occupation . Systems engineer(my designation) or exact NOC(software developer and interactive media programmer) or i can write software developer.

5. and what is the best mode of payment?

plz help asap.

Thank you Kollins for prompt feedback. I am evaluating both options as you said it can be either 2171 or 2173.

With my Job Title = Quality Assurance Lead, if I choose 2171 (Business Analyst) - will it confuse VO? because tasks of QA Analyst mentioned on CIC website are totally different than Testing (which is part of my JD).

Information systems quality assurance analysts develop and implement policies and procedures throughout the software development life cycle to maximize the efficiency, effectiveness and overall quality of software products and information systems.

With my Job Title = Quality Assurance Lead, if I choose 2173 - (Software Engineer) - will it confuse VO in terms that I don't do development (coding) of software?

Which NOC will be more suitable as per aforesaid scenario?

FSW is not about your Job tittle ...but about your Job description as relateted to your choosen NOC.
Yout Job descriptions will be evaluated against you choosen NOC in your generic form.
Any Job tittle will do...the officers are much more interested with your Job duties with your choosen NOC.

My application reached yesterday to CIC sydney. will they return my package due to this? Please advise. I am bit tensed now.

I think u can submit same letter since its not too old. Because roles don't change in 2-3 months..as long as the letter is 6 months old.. It should be ok

You may be right...YES.
I'm just trying to play safe for him so that nothing will mistakenly be used against him by any tired officer assigned to check his package.

So far I have not noticed this coz for returning application....some of the prev yr appliacnt did that(cant remember them now)

In that case u may be ignored from CIC and when it will be transferred to ur local Visa office they may ask u updated Sch A form.....

1.Go to your bank...they will tell you how to go about it.

2.YES...it can be cancelled.....be sure to know the details of the draft,...you may photocopy the draft and keep the copy just in case you need to present the the ban later for cancellation.

Hi Every One, Our application NOC 2174 was received on 14th May 2014, Can any one help me briefing regarding how could a file will selected to be first and second in day where at a time CIC gets 15 or more files received via mail and can anyone tell what are reasons behind a file gets rejected and what if we forget notarize or certify a document. I am worried if i ill be in the cab or not. Please kindly do revert back seniors.

Plan B.......hmmmmmmm
Get another application package ready to send again with original IELTS results and ECA.......not to put fear/doubt into you but just incase of unforseen circumstance which I pray wont happen.

Its ur luck (inc case for same day)...Coz courier companies usually deliver the CIC application package once in a day....(as per my experience)....

And can u please tell us --about what docs u are talking for the notarization...?
