I think you might get rejection as you can only send application on or after 1st May canada time. I think you should get back your application if possible and send it again!

His application will rch on 5/5/2014 so it is completely fine

I beg to disagree, but it states there on or after the said date will be the date of receiving of your application,iregardless of the date of sending.

No need, just include photocopy of what you have.

Well I think you should get some expert help on this. Because if it is the case then all people send application before 1st May and ensure it reached on 1st May itself.
One of my canadian citizen friend told me to send it on 1st May only not before that.
This is just my opinion. I am not really sure about it.

I don't know where it is specified. This is just a conclusion what I get from my Canadian friend. Nothing mentioned by CIC.
We just wanna make sure that our application is complete without any fail!

What documents need to be certified as true copy?

I thought only doc that needs translation needs to be certified?
So if my docs are in english, i just need to photocopy them and no need to get them certified?

Additional family information form has to be filled by both applicant & spouse, i have a query that while spouse is filling the form she has to write her name in applicant column?? and husband (who is main applicant) in spouse column??

Yes you both has to fill this form.
For your form you are the applicant and for your wife's form she is the applicant.

That's what my consultant said to me, as you can see they don't care what date you send what matters is the date where the immigration officer received in Centralized Intake Office in Sydney, Nova Scotia.That's when they will consider the date of application received.
